The lesson imparted here is that while Evil must be vanquished; there must always remain a source of evil in the world to maintain the unity: a technical truth in every conceivable way.

he likes the animation. and i can say i agree! those little background details about the hitch pictures are funny. and maybe that little blob was meant to be sparky, a little easter egg to that says “hitch has always wanted to raise an exotic animal, and he is now!” but yeah. and i was already excited for this special. and now everyone is getting a Discord (and pony town). the world is begging me to get one.

When Izzy reveals the airplane and everypony goes, "Ohhhh~" It sounded a lot like something from the PBS Kids show Boobah. Also last year there was an advent calendar with a character named Minty and I hope she can be an official character like Posey did, but have a different personality too.

I felt the same about G4 at the start of season 7 so I stopped watching MLP:FIM every week after that but G5 dragged me in again

G4 had run out of steam way before its end. There was potential for more diversification in terms of storytelling and characters, but they didn't do that, and so i was glad when they finally put an end to it. Still i started to rewatch the later seasons recently and the good episodes in them are still really really good. I repeatedly find myself pausing the videos to appreciate what neat detail or moment i just witnessed. G5 on the other hand... oh boy. It's bad, and how i wish it wasn't.

I mean technically Opaline could hatch a plan to kill the New Mane 5 by crashing the plane. That could work. Though Opaline is already Overpowered and adding her during the wrong time is bad. Then again, there is a possibility that this is not Canon.

This special definitely isn’t up to the graphics and animation of the movie, but I would say it is far better than anything else on make your mark so far.

Spoiler theory: so after watching this, I noticed a symbol all over their plane thing and that it had 6 chairs, hinting another is to join their group. Which probably will be misty, but why is that symbol all over? No one else has that cutie mark, and if it's the main symbol it has to be important. What if it's Misty's cutie mark? It's also tied to the magic, we haven't seen her use magic yet either. We also know how Sunny hates being an alicorn, what if during the battle with opaline she transfers her alicorn magic to misty unlocking her magical abilities and therefore unlocking her cutie marks potential/ gaining her cutie mark making her the rightful ruler and rubbing it in opalines face?

I think it's beyond coincidence that she has so many pictures of him when he was little. Plus, Hitch's parents should've picked him up in the flashback in the movie, but they didn't. 4:01 Dr Wolf spoiled the special's plot and needless to say, that would've been so much better than this

I maybe reaching on this, and I'm mistaken, but looking at that star in the trailer, it seems to resemble Twilight Sparkle's Cutie Mark a bit, also I could be wrong, but maybe Misty could have at least a cameo in this somewhere, I'm unsure though.

The truth is that I prefer that the parties are separated and that they stay that way, why fix something that is not broken? And then it would be interesting how little by little they are included and have mixed traditions and each one celebrates the day in their own way and the truth is that compared to the Christmas of the ponies in G4 (who got tired of talking about the windigos and the most interesting it was the stories, the gifts and the party, without any really interesting activities) here in these 3 festivities they look much more interesting (speaking only of ponies, taking out the creatures) although the meaning of warm hearts will be irreplaceable

now, how good the animation is makes me worrying in one place. remember, from time to time the show suffered with their budget by leaving one thing more to the side, either it was "quality of story and plot" or "quality of animation, settings and environment". i am worried that if they went all into the animation and settings, that the quality of the story and the plot suffer since they ran out of time. well either we wait and see what happens or looking how some other trailers for the special look like. if i have to give the trailers (all of them. two so far i think?) a note, i would say from 0/10 i would say an okayisch 5/10

Maybe the event, and possibly trauma, that the Mane Five experience on their way back to Maretime Bay for the Wishing Star might remind Sunny of the origins of Hearths Warming. Bit of a stretch, I know, but that way it can exist again as Hearths Warming. They did keep Nightmare Night, after all, so why not give them a reason to have Hearths Warming, without it just being tradition?
