One thing that fascinates me about this performance is how the same sound is played sequentially on more than one instrument by different musicians. It's easy to miss, but it happens several times completely seamlessly. Example: 1:03:44 Marcus plays the theremin, who then transitions to drums. Evelina takes over with a theremin patch on the keyboard. Musical pass of the figurative baton, very cool!
@TheReaverOfDarkness3 жыл бұрын
BlueSparkle pointed out a good one at 59:56 in which Evelina takes the melody from Martin on the keyboard. They play the same note at the same time, then Martin lets go of the keyboard and takes the autoharp. I just saw another interesting and off the wall trick. 34:18 We can see Martin use the closing of the accordion to add to the sound regimen.
@iprotons66406 жыл бұрын
Martin gave new light back to my life with his music alone. I am a 15 year old in the U.S., and I am very lucky to live in the conditions I am living in right now. No one in the world could wish for better parents, nor better living conditions. You would imagine how someone like me could get so depressed, and lose sight of what is really important. No matter your religion, race, etc. (yeah I'm not giving any lectures today) we are all human, and need a reason to want to live. As an instrumentalist, I have never heard such beautiful music and creativity. It inspires me to be the very best me, and make a positive difference in this world. this concert is the most beautiful and pure thing I've ever listened to. absolute genius. the intuition over how the instruments operate, the communication between band members. the shared experience between band members and audience members. even in performance, it is apparent that both the musicians and the audience enjoy what they are hearing/doing. the entire experience is both tactile and audibly mesmerising. "a good time was had by all" could not have better been explained. the emotional variety of this music is stunning, as is the cultural span and yet it sounds as if it's it's own brand all to its self. sure, there are no lyrics, but incorporating an expertly skilled whistler was marvellous and mind blowing. everything about this concert visibly or invisibly is breathtaking.

Amazing fact is how humble he is talking about and revealing many mistakes about the marble machine. Also,its fascinating how art and creativity makes you create something that is well beyond of reach (construction and architecture skills required to build that machine) just purely driven by idea, music and sound in your head. When we concentrate and focus on something lead by our creativity,we create wonders. An architect or skilled craftsman would never get an idea to create a marble machine just like musician would never get an idea for a beautiful and groundbreaking building or discover new construction material.

The sound quality on this was SO good. I am a big fan... can't wait for you to come to the United States in the next couple of years. And if that doesn't happen, I might have to take a longer plane ride to get to see you guys. Keep up the great, creative, whimsical and emotional music and videos. I agree with the other comments... I stop what I am doing to watch, and it always makes my day better.

the typewriter, the diy music box, the "moldulin"... it's all too charming. i normally try to get other things done when listening to music but i couldn't stop staring at the screen for the past 1 hour 7 minutes. also i like how you are all wearing plain black so that people can concentrate on the important matter: music.

What a band! so many talents out there and not appear on the mainstream but this band is going to break through sooner or later.

Incredible sound engineering! It's all balanced so beautifully, so crisp one can distinguish every detail from all instruments, what a damn delicacy.

This is possibly the most beautiful combination of artistic creativity with the rigid and soulless, yet endlessly diverse, nature of modern machinery.

The Marble Machine is a fabulous melody. I can almost hear some new wave band doing this with lyrics in the '80's. The melody gets under your skin. Wonderful.

According to Fiend S a crowd are obliged to scream and shout at every note a band plays. And especially when they start playing a song that they know. Or maybe they're more interested in listening to it instead of holding their stupid phones up and screaming. Just a thought ...
@fiends89087 жыл бұрын
What I'm saying is they should put their phones DOWN and get into the music. The crowd barely even made a sound.

In some cultures beeing pregnant is nothing special, and not treated like a handicap. It is not necessary to comment that as beeing a huge achievement... i would rather congratulate her on her abilities on the instrument. What i mean to say is that beeing pregnant at home on a chair or on stage in front of a piano does not make a huge difference most of the time.
@Lundy.Fastnet.Irish_Sea7 жыл бұрын
zoolkhan people tend to try to stay safe and take a pregnancy break from work in my country. Only some very dedicated women keep working in their last pregnancy months
