Thanks for the video. as a side note for everyone. the flush procedure and winterizing you did here is actually for the exhaust coolant water. the coolant bottle under the cowling is actually the engine coolant. not the pump. have a great day.

For supercharged versions. You need to do this while the engine is running. Because the water pump will be in a closed position, not allowing the coolant to reach the inner cooler unless the engine is running. So unless you want your intercooler to crack from water in the winter, you need to do it the right way.

I have sportster rotax 4tec 2004.... No need to do additionnal thing if the motor will be in a tempo garage (very cold temperature) No need to change oil before winter? Do I need to run the engine after putting the antifreeze? Many thanks

I am not an expert on this motor. Yes I would change the oil. This particular motor I did only got used 5 hours this season so I was fine not changing the oil and was fine with leaving the trans jet green coolant alone. When I called the sea doo dealer they said I just need to run coolant like I did through the back of the engine untill it comes out other areas. So, take that for what it is worth. Call a dealer just to make sure I did. With boats there never is any 100% anything.

When you begin to gravity feed the pink coolant do you have the engine turned off?

Agreed, this seems risky. Even by gravity you could flood the motor cylinder. I would not recommend this without the motor running (max 30 sec)

My son just bought a very nice 2007 Sportster, we thought after watching your video on how to gravity feed coolant it would be easy......not so. Two thing, we think we found the area where you say screw in the male end of the hose, problem is it doesn't look like it has any threads, another thing is it looks like there's a rubber something ( know idea what to call it ) inside there. I know I have poorly explained myself but I'd appreciate any help. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, you can run it out in the lake. Not the stuff you put in your car or truck though. That stuff is poison

Yes it is safe, the same anti freeze is used to winterize drinking water in campers. you wouldn't want to just drink it but it's none harmful, just taste funky
