What a lovely harvest! I'm hoping I can be well enough to garden this Spring, so your videos give my a vicarious garden fix! I really miss growing my own vegetables and flowers. Yesterday was spent anticipating the landfall of Hurricane Helene. The news had reported that it was to make landfall in the North Florida Panhandle, and we got lucky again - She landed east of us. I made scone in the morning and we enjoyed them with tea in the afternoon. I will try this vanilla pound cake recipe either this afternoon or tomorrow.

Watched a gentleman in the UK bake an oatmeal/banana loaf cake. He used a loaf pan liner, it's like a muffin cup liner. No more cutting parchment. The are avail here in case you are interested. Your Cardinal Vine is lovely. That glaze was perfect. I've seen so many chefs make it too thin, even Martha S. Hello from Willamette Valley Oregon.

Dearest Kevin! I missed your video yesterday; I took my wife's cat in to the Vet in town for a check up. She's been having urinary problems, and now she's been put on a special diet. I shopped for our Friday Dinner Party while the cat waited in the car; she's such a good girl. I put chicken breasts in wine & tomato sauce in the slow cooker. Luckily the gas station convenience store had two boxes of Penne that I totally forgot about. We started the weekend off right with a beautiful meal and fresh Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing. ❤ from Canada 🇨🇦! ❤F&A

Kevin, I just baked the pound cake and it worked beautifully! I live in Colorado at 7200 feet elevation and I have never been able to find a pound cake recipe that works here, (Ive tried all the high altitude adjustments). They all cave in the middle, are “sad” and never have a tender crumb. This recipe worked, the only adjustment I made was to add 1/4 cup of additional all purpose flour. Thanks, this is a keeper!

Kevin, I made this pound cake over the weekend and it is a real winner! It’s so flavorful and the perfect accompaniment for tea. Followed your recipe exactly except I did cut the icing glaze recipe in half as I did not want the glaze too thick and, I did not use the artificially colored sugar. Also, if you properly measure flour by lightly spooning it into a standard Imperial measuring cup and leveling it off, there’s really no need to bother with cumbersome scales and using metric measures.
