That's because this song is amazing, and what people have to understand, is that Savant is not just 1 genre, as we found with the transition from an album like Alchemist to something like Protos. He does what he thinks sounds cool, and god damn it is cool. People need to just get off of their high horse and accept that Savant does what he wants.

The song was great, apart from that bit 2 minutes in. It just sounded like one big mess to me, I don't know. I wasn't really feeling it. Normally I'm quite a big fan of the hardcore stuff.

Cartard To be honest that bit 2 mins in is a highlight of the song, I can see where you're coming from if you're not into this sorta thing, but it's definitely a good beat to bunny hop on CS:S or something :P

Cartard That part is amazing to dance to when its live, all that darkness and thrill, like some wicked ritual of death... imo using EQ to emphasize on bass instead of treble makes it easier to listen to via headphones or whatever..

idk why, but when I hear 1:46, I just picture an apocalypse scenario where giant, invisible speakers hang in the sky playing this at decibels that just fuck everyone up, planes are crashing, heads are exploding, and I'm just bobbing my head like "yeah".

yeah it's like some contemporary music. Makes you feel weird, uncomfortable, or lost. And it's actually an interesting to have music suggest those kinds of emotions, not just joy or beauty. That's what gives them a place in films or anime, at least when using acoustic instruments, i'm not sure about dubstep-ish music. HunterXhunter ost 3 is a great example of this imo. (example of track names : Nowhere to escape , Man Hunting, The Prey)
