you were back to front with the gearing. Spin with the small to the big is easier, vice versa for harder, hehe

Pretty accurate explanation of how a quick change works, but the first time you change gears out at the track you're in for a big surprise. Those rear units hold 2.5 to 3 quarts of oil. When you remove that rear cover you're gonna lose about 1/2 of it. We use a big drain pan with a screen on top to set the old gears on while it drains out and we get the new gears ready. Oh yeah... that oil can be HOT!

Descriptions can add a lot to a video, especially info on where to get stuff or info on an event, etc. ❤️

Is this type of setup ideal for drag racing/ drift only or would this also work well for road racing
@ldnwholesale85525 жыл бұрын
Has been used often though they do drag a fair amount of power.

micah i wanna ask you bro about diy on removing the pinion gear on e36 midcase diff. i didnt find any content online about it i removed the big nut but its still stuck. any help is appriciated!
@DontStopReeling6 жыл бұрын
you have to press it out from what I remember, or you can smack it out with a rubber mallet and some softer metal. and theres a shit ton of content online, you didnt even bother googling it...that spoon fed attitude is gonna get you nowhere fast. www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?1024563-How-to-remove-the-input-flange-pinion-from-a-188-diff I just reread your question, and it shows you didn't even bother googling it at all, there's a locking collar and a crush sleeve.

I would understand things so much better. If KZbin would just play old stuff chronologically.
