What I've loved about Scarlett is how consistently they're able to spread creep for *years* now. It's such a macro-level thing, such a unique-to-Zerg thing, and I just really enjoy that. Win or lose, I think it's really neat that we have an example of a kinda "canon" Zerg experience: endless creep spread, endless takeover.

Creep is the coolest mechanic blizz added to sc2 in my opinion. Just being able to watch the zerg grow on the map is so satisfying and makes it really feel like the swarm is coming to consume everything. It just adds a lot of immersion to the game, and makes the swarm feel even more swarmy.

i wish theyd do more with it. it gives vision and speed but i wish it was like an actual infection. like their structures just die when creep gets removed, but then you actually have to gund own the creep.

IMO a way to upgrade active tumors could be an interesting mechanic. Have the upgraded tumor either block vision similar to map vision blockers, or form a path blocker similar to rocks. For balance the choice to upgrade would mean that tumor cannot spread any further.

Scarlett had an overwhelming economic advantage, but never had an overwhelming army supply. Even when Future was pushing, the production tab was like... 60 zerglings and ten hydralisks to 3 marines near the end. The fights might have looked close because Future's army was able to hold its own vs Scarlett, but the game was never in doubt.

If you are talking about scan for creep, Terran usually don't make raven for that because it's easy to lose them, it's costly and later in the game it can easily be mind control. Scan is a little bit costly at the begining, but during the transition of mid/lategame you have enough command center to spam scan/mule so it's not a problem anymore. I remember a game where (clem I think) made a raven for tumor clean, and stupidly lose it to queen during a A move attack. It's to slow and vulnerable for what it does against zerg.

The way players are playing these days, its so hard for zerg to win games. Every game everyone turtles to late game and if you cant manage queens casters split groups at the same time all you do is waste gas into defensive posture players.. my vipers always flying in to their death. I used to think zerg wss skill less now im playing Zerg at 3.3k to 3.5 k and its fucking hard.

Honestly the Blinding Cloud got to get nerfed to -3 range like how Anti-Armor missile now just gives -3 armor debuff instead of removing all armor.

@@benismann As far as I know negative armor does not cause bonus damage. There are still "All Tech" type mods for lobbies that enable every patch, expansion and campaign tech, if you use both -3 armor and -all base* armor on a unit it does the same damage as using it -3 armor on a 0 armor unit. The current -3 armor missile just removes up to 3 armor to the minimum of 0 for purpose of damage calculation. *_PS_* The "base armor" thing is that the old raven missile removed all the normal/base armor of units, that armor removal does not work on bonus armor from aura type skills some hero units have but that was never the problem in regular melee mode.

Wow. I really like your stuff winter, but it is crazy how overpowered zerg really is. I have always believed that, but I broke down why I believe this with the idea that I was potentially wrong this entire time and I literally can not find any reason I wouldn't put them as the OP/IMBA race. Imagine creep tumors= 100's of observers that cost no supply. Imagine siege tanks in lurkers that are burrowed under ground for a race that already has speed and massing as their main component of balance. Not to mention the neural parasite, you have a equal army and then "hey I actually have half your army and I tech switch instantly" not to mention I can choose to fungal and freeze your army in place. It's literally impossible to beat a high level zerg unless they make a mistake or are simply the better player in that specific game and matchup, but equal talent will always go to the Zerg player with exception of playing above level (which happens) or Zerg getting too greedy or making a mistake.(which happens) Zerg can win even if they are the weaker player. Blinding cloud renders a tank army inert. Playing as Terran or Protoss and attempt to attack when lurkers are on the map it literally feels like an auto loss unless I get air immediately that is extremely expensive and potentially game ending if I don't get carrier count at least to 5 with 2-2 upgrades. As a terran player Bio is rendered inert to banes, the trades are extremely difficult especially for a zerg that is macro heavy and doesn't attack in. Turtle zerg with scout on Bio is extremely tough to deal with. I only play Mech vs Zerg now. My results are better I go hellion/tank/thor and go 3 base all in with 7 factories and double ups. At plus two I go all in and if it doesn't work I lose and if IT does I win. NO way I am dealing with all the tech switches and what I just saw in this game. My APM is about 200 by the way and I have been ranked at 1 Master (Not Currently, I left the game for a few years and recently have played about 75 to 100 games) and played plenty of grand master players.
