You are one of two best casters in my opinion. Second one I like a lot is Harstem. Both are funny, entertaining but using good manners plus have huge knowledge, so I can learn about strategy and mechanics while listening to comment which I appreciate a lot.

The way he plays is just such a hard counter. And Maru is a bit stubborn. He loses to Serral for the same reason that Serral is now losing to Clem; he is not adapting.

Great casting as always. I honestly think that second game against Soo could have been a lot closer if Maru stayed, I don’t think Soo would have found those hidden bases in time.

In the post-game interview they asked Maru about that, and he said he just didn't think the hidden bases would work and didn't want to waste everyone's time so he just tapped out to get on with the next game. I want to chalk it up to a lack of heart, but who are we to question Maru's eons of experience and game sense. Serral has a tendency historically to tap out prematurely too. I'm pretty sure someone like Oliveira woulda fought that game out to the end though. That's why he's the people's champ LOL.

Was that ballpark number on "price today" and "possible profit in 5yo horizon" something based on data, or more of a feeling and sorta feeling the price? Game development industry made huge leaps since the time of Starcraft II, especially the indie scene. In my personal opinion, I think the "problem" is with people in RTS being really really interested in only their particular game of choice, and quick to shit on anything that is not that + reducing user population of people still playing RTS, which makes it unlikely for bigger corporations to commit, but could provide some room for maneuvering to indie devs/studios. I think the next big RTS will be something coming out of an indie studio.

I dont understand why some pro terran players like maru quit so early whats the downside to playing it out a bit more? Just goes to show its another generation of players that find it easy to quit 1:40:35 its a shame really and it sucks for viewers

Because the race has been nerfed to the ground as they tried to balance it around the GOAT. You can't do that and expect the mortals to keep playing at the same level.

GSL is irrelevant without the two best Terrans, one of the two best Protoss, and of course without the GOAT. Koreans can have as much fun as they want in their safe little garden when the scary big monsters are not there, but still, it's not the real world.

To do a new starcraft style release requires a community like a nonprofit to make a crypto-currency like flare and have the community stake it so the market cap can reach billions to fund the game. Trust me I'd invest $100-500 to in the coin to get the game made. Retail investors can make this happen. Wallstreet gaming giants like blizzard, etc aren't required in this day of age. Need a trust worthy Non-profit or profit to make this happen.
