the part that i found crazy was that both Winter and apparently Serral himself thought Serral was ahead at a certain point in the game. based on, you know, the last 20 or so official games between the two, if Clem has either 4 bases or 8 ghosts Serral is basically dead.

Yep. Terran should not be able to be the most maneuverable, most economically strong, most supply efficient, and most resource efficient race in the game. It’s kind of absurd and has no real downsides. The game is almost always the Terran’s game to lose, rather than anyone else’s to win.

​​@@stubbornviking8548“without any downsides” -You need +200 effective APM on top of the mandatory for your league to utilize squad of marines, ghosts, and mines so that you can milk some net positive value out of it (and you BETTER not make even a single mistake there cuz that sole Golden Cow is your only saving grace for the entire game). Zerg can afford to loose 20 bases, 12 armies, and 3000 supply and they still hold the upper hand for most of the game, on the loose a single Terran Base or just 20 Terran units when you need them and the whole game is thrown. -Late Game for Terran quite literally dosen't exist as their units get steamrolled hard in honest 1v1 and outpaced economically without the involvement of Mules, aggression, or traps. SC2 had reached a passive state where all Terran players need to either end the game priror the 20 minute mark, or permanently cripple their opponent for the rest of the game in the first 10 minutes as quite literally every single other scenario results in decisive Terran L. -Terran's whole strategies revolves around slowly draining out your opponent before it has a chance to react: Clem's core Army goes to Serral main base for kite and initiates a Looney Toons chase sequence where in return Serral tries to steamrolls them all the way back to Clem's core base only to progressively loose his entire army along the way due to nasty Widowmine and Liberator/Ghost stings. Clem here puts 10x more effort for this set up than Serral who tries to kite the mines before eventually going “F it, we ball”- Had Clem failed at any step, misplaced a single mine, or mismanaged a single marine Serral would have won on the spot as seen by the severe damage on Clem's core base after each Zerg wave. Pair that wit the fact that it was ultimately Marine drops that took out Serral and, again, without those he would've have won decisively. By all means, remove the only two units that work for Terran, give us extra keyboard and pair of hands (cuz we all know Clem is just your average below midline Joe carried by his faction instead of Pro-Skills like playing for 10 players at once), and make Zerg even more “A Click” slothful instead of ever developing your own micro or effective strategies.

Generally, zerg, but clem micros like a madman, so probably close in this instance.

Concretely, Zerg is harder to play in terms of macro and Terran in micro. If you have a bad micro of your units, you will be an execrable Terran and that is why Clem's god micro makes him so good. Personally, I am unable to watch Clem play on his vision as we did for Serral because it goes so fast in all directions that it makes me sick.

It reminds me of the time before the widow mine nerfs. Clem was also unstoppable, but that was also because of how unbalanced terran was. I feel here it's the same, medivacs are just way too powerful, at least the boost should be removed or added as a tier 3 upgrade

That pre-mine nerf period of time at the beginning of HotS was the stupidest period for SC2 balance by far. All T players did is expand once and parade mines and marines across the map and would win the cost effectiveness war every time. That's also when SC2 took the most massive playerbase hit, especially on ladder. I wonder why.
