I feel like Jari is concerned with anything but releasing new music by this point. This band is one of the biggest what ifs ever in metal and music in general. Such a shame, but I really don't think we will ever see a full album from wintersun anymore. The members mostly moved on to other stuff cause... Jari is unwilling to do anything with the band and the incredible music he composed. The description in Nuclear Blast's site: "fire representing the energy of stars as a source of life, which is also connected to time." We also have to remember that Jari wrote and composed the song already in 2006 or even earlier, so chronologically it's like continuation to the debut album in that time frame so it's not surprising that the themes in the lyrics reappear here. One With The Shadows is an even older song, written somewhere in 1992-2000. The songs in Time I and Time II are almost as old as the debut album or even older.

It is incredible what these guys can do with a single chord progression. They could repeat it indefinitely changing the arrangements a little bit here, then a little bit there, and so on. Yeah. It's straight up magical how he manages to keep the song fresh all the way through for 10 minutes with the same chord progression, but maybe he just managed to come up with a chord progression that is itself so magical that varying it repeatedly and make it work was relatively easy. On the other hand I saw someone arguing that the song is nothing special because it just repeats the same chord progression over and over again for 10 minutes with little variations, but I think he fails to see how that actually makes the song so soulful and a true piece of art. It's like each variation has its very unique personality and flavor while remaining true to the idea and feel of the song. That's how the song never becomes boring even though it's a lengthy song although on paper it may seem so.

2022? I think your're being optimistic tbh. In an interview (which I cannot find anymore - sorry) I read that it took Jari (and the other guys) years to assemble all of the perks for the Seasons-Crowdfunding. So I'd assume that the second CF is propably still two or three years away. And even if they succeed in gathering up enough money to build the studio, the studio still has to be build in the first place (which could take even more time). And even if the studio is finally there and ready for use, Time II still isn't released. Also I'm pretty sure Jari will be reworking Time I one more time to match the production quality of Time II since both of the albums were originally intended to be released as one album with a duration of like 90 minutes I think. So my guess is more like 2024 or even 2025. Given that the next CF raises enough money to reach the needed amount for the studio. Sometimes I hope that some rich bastard will just give them the money so we don't have to wait any longer! :D

The Wintersun fanbase consists of some very dedicated folks. I loved the reveal time of the TFS Crowdfunding, where every new Video gave us a few more seconds of studio sound, and people collected them, tried to put them in order, and edited them in the live version of TFTW. And of course the editing of the "Way of the Fire"-recording. ​@@davecrupel2817thanks to the support Wintersun has gotten since the success of The Forest Seasons crowdfunding campaign Jari was able to build a proper studio and thanks to modern plug-in technology he was able to finish Time II. That means that he's overcame the biggest hurdles and is now working on 4 new albums and one of them is almost finished as well so expect that one coming out soon enough, I'm predicting 2025. It could be finished even sooner, but I'm sure he'll let Time II shine for the rest of this year and then move on to the next album. No way there will be another 5-10 year delay again, at least for the next album after Time II
