@@cedox Bradley is such a great player too...and funny guy. But this solo is one of the hardest solos ever composed. It's amazing how well Jari played it at live...and even more so, that Teemu plays it even better.

Järi's depression and burnout are the reasons why Time 2 has been delayed so much. Hope he recobers soon! I too am waiting for Time 2.😭

Most of the Ensiferum songs during Jari's time were composed by Markus Toivonen, the second guitarist and band leader. But it course Jari still delivered some great tunes, shreddy solos and his amazing voice.

There's a theory, that the man depicted on the album cover is supposed to be Terje "Valfar" Bakken, the singer of Norwegian metal band "Windir" who actually froze to death in a blizzard. They definitely had an influence on Wintersun's music.

Nice reaction! The solo in this song is particularly insane, very hard to play afaik. My favorite song from their first album is "Death and the healing" it's a bit softer and very melodic. I'll also keep recommending you to check out Ne Obliviscaris, and another band I think you'd enjoy is a melodic death/folk group Æther Realm, their most popular and imo best song is "The Sun, The Moon, The Star" but it's almost 20 minutes long, so if that's too much of a commitment "The Magician" is also really good.

Correct me if I am wrong: this song is made by only two men (Mäenpää and Hahto)!? I liked what you said about winter and coldness. Even though you do not remember properly the winter time, I can assure, there is always that melancholic nostalgy for it when you are still in autumn. I liked the lyrics. I noticed some not-Northern people can find this kind of lyrics a bit odd (I do not know the correct word... like they are sneering...) But I think it is just the same effect than if I am listening a song about hectic city life, it does not develop similar kind of feelings than what we hear in the lyrics of Wintersun, Amorphis, etc.

Apparition is a song by Spawn Of Possession from the album Incurso. One of the guitarists is Christian Muenzner, the guitarist for Necrophagist as well. listened to it for the first time back in 2012 and it resonated so much with the music I create in my head. So I listened to more of their stuff and found they're God- Tier tech death, like First Fragment and Necrophagist.🖤 Such less peeps know about these legends, it's unfair! So much talent, yet hidden from the world. Tech- death is love.❤
