Thanks very much. In terms of the peacefulness, this is a historic election. There is no firecracker sound at leaset, apart from the anouncement. As a Srilankan Im really concerned and keeping touch with your country's situation and wondering why havent it turend out to some progressive path yet. Im not telling that here everything is alright here. But after joined and work with imf program, debt restructuring and imposing some kind of heavy taxex,srilanka was able to shiow some kind of progress. Now All are keep on eye on how the new gvt going to handle it.

He was in JVP which was Marxist lenisist communist. And this is NPP which is socialist democratic. JVP members were killed by ranasinghe premadasa president. And his son came 2nd in the election. His name is sajith premadasa. His dad r. Premadasa killed innocent university students too. Everyone involved in JVP was kidnapped and killed. Rohana wijeweera was burned alive or should I say was cremated alive. He was one of the president anura's friends If they were still alive srilanka would be a better place. Also r. Premadasa died from a bomb by LTTE terrorists. And these thieves and murderers will get karma. He's the most suitable, thr change and the perfect example. I also heard he's not really homophobic and is the first president to talk with their matters. He has humanity.

I returned to my homeland after a 5-year absence because I had promised myself not to return as long as the current system existed. However, I proudly came back to vote for the NPP, and I’m glad I did. Halfway through the vote counting, when the Election Commission announced they would be proceeding with preferential voting, I was almost in shock and truly disappointed. But I soon realized this is the standard process if no candidate secures more than 50% initially. Now, everything is back on track, and I can’t wait for tomorrow’s oath-taking ceremony. You will be the best president this country has ever had sir!❤️

It seems the reporter implied that she voted or wished for someone else to be the president of Sri Lanka. 😅at the end she ws trying to say that when the votes of Ranil’s and Sajith’s supporters are combined, they would form the majority. However, this is a presidential election. Even Sajith split the UNP into two, so why should we consider the sum of their votes? If we do that, we might as well add Anura’s and the other candidates’ votes together and say, ‘Look, this many people don’t like Sajith.’ So, the reporter’s point is completely baseless. Additionally, showing personal favoritism when reporting is unethical in journalism.
