It's so refreshing seeing someone focus on what they have rather than focusing on accumulating more stuff. I'll enjoy watching you WIP down. Happy stitching 💜

Beautiful projects. I'm glad you mention that you still want to stitch on a lot of projects, and that you not put 33 projects on hold. But of course if that what you want to do, than its of course still fine. But I love to see your projects. Happy stitching

First of all, love your new hair! And when insaw this video go up I came to watch it straight away, and bloody loved it! It was good to see everything and what your plans are. I'm also a random stitcher and also love the process which includes plans etc especially those that are not written in stone. You also threatened to make loads of videos = YES PLEASE!!!

I love videos like this, and even though i don't actually have that many active wips, I've got loads kitted up, so i want to WIP down older projects as i want them finished. Can't wait for more of these videos to see how you are doing. Kida is looking amazing, I'm doing Ariel and have another 5 to do🙈

This year, I had all my wips on a spinning wheel. I picked a wip a month and only worked on that one wip. I have got so much done on each of them and 2 finishes already 😂😂

Hi Jamie You are getting so organized with your Stitching Projects. Good for you. I switched out my fabric for 12 Movie Nights of Christmas from Navy Blue to White 14 Count Aida. I don’t like to stitch on Dark Fabric because it is hard to see the holes. I re-started it tonight while I was watching your Video. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵❤️

In my spreadsheet I have ranked/listed my WIPs in order of preference to be finished first. I used to list my WIPs by date order or alphabetically then one day I just played around and ranked them. It's a gut feel that takes into consideration how old they are, how much is left to complete, how much I like stitching on them, the finished piece. The first few were the WIPs I was already focusing on and pushing to a finish, the next few WIPs were the ones I had already decided on would be the next focus pieces, then there were a few that automatically went to the bottom of the queue for one reason or another (e.g. a WIP that has tons of blends) then there middles are all pretty much equal rank and can shift around. The reason I like this is that it's immediately clear what I should be stitching on then if I need a change of WIP for a particular reason, like a smaller count because I'm travelling, or bright pretty colours because I'm in that mood I can at least scan down the list and pick the best WIP to put those extra stitches into. I also like it because I can make sure I'm not just focusing on the smallest WIPs some of my larger ones are near the top of the list to so they will actually get finished one day.

Hi Jamie, I admire your courage to wipping down. I would feel sad, so I won’t join you but I will cheer you on. You can do it. Happy stitching. I really wished there was a good way for me too. I am still searching

I've been feeling the same about all my wips! I'm a cross stitcher, crocheter, and knitter, so I have quite a few wips 😅 I'm excited to see all your progress and hopefully some finishes soon. Also, your hair looks amazing!!

I enjoyed this quick review a lot. Some of those pieces are totally new to me. Do you usually start a few pieces at the new year? If so, maybe you should look for small pieces to start so you will have those to finish later in the year. I hope you feel better with more organization I. Your space. I always do. Have fun stitching!

I'm doing something similar, I have so many things that are kitted and calling to me but I have these darn BAPs that need to be worked on! 😂 I'm trying to find a way to manage. I love Dailen Ogden's artwork! You definitely have to work on your finishes so you get to start that one! ❤ Happy Stitching!

I love this video, organisation and categorising are my JAM! I have categories as well but much smaller amount, I have a limit of 1 basket of WIPs so it makes me push to finish some things to start something new in that category. I got Rose library after seeing you start yours, but I can't start it until my other big full coverage is done

Well done. I discovered I am a seasonal stitcher so I organized all my wips and charts and kitted projects by season. My samplers are in a bankers box by themselves. All of my full coverage wips and kitted charts are together. So much easier and more relaxing to have some organization. Just finished my summer projects working on those wips I could finish and I completed 3. Now on to fall/ Halloween. Washing will not soften that fabric as it was made in China. Zweigart fabric is the one you like - softer.

So happy you did another video about this so soon. I love to hear people's process. The thought of 'needing' to finish 2 over 100,000 to start a new one would give me sleepless nights 😂 Can you share your list with if theyre under or over? Or do another video ❤

I’m needing to WIP down as well. I decided to focus on whatever my oldest WIP is along with ones I want on the wall most. Autumn Harmony is my oldest. I cropped her some and chose a monthly goal for her to finish by Maxine Gadd may. Then I made a list of ones I want to hang up most and prioritized them. I also selected the ones that have been lingering at almost done. Hoping to get all the almost dones finished this year. Then I’m gonna choose a few priorities and give them monthly goals. I’m following the same plan of 2 finishes = a start but I think I’m not counting my almost dones for that. I added the final rule of no new mirabilia starts until I finish what I have going with her since like 6 wips are Miras and I tend to get to the beads and then let myself work another.

Love what you're doing! I've been thinking of trying similar for a while, so I might just join you. Most of my wips are large though so it's going to be hard going.

I would definitely try washing the keyblade fabric again before giving up and restarting, see if you can get the starch out of it.

Soak it in fabric softener or maybe an epson salts bath overnight, then wash hopefully that will work that way you don't have to restart 😀 worked for me

I'm planning on starting things for the rest of the year because there are so many that I'm dying to start. And then next year I think I'm going to switch either to 2 finishes for 1 start or something like 10,000 stitches earns a new start. I do have a lot of small things I could just finish but I want to get progress on my big pieces.
@livclarke64632 ай бұрын
I am currently a monogamous stitcher (pokemon gen 1 by lord libidan) and I have 13 more charts in my pattern keeper that I want to do. I will probably grid them all soon (with a break to get more fabric) and after that I'll probably start on the smaller pieces. I have lists and everything so it will be organized and since I'm kinda picky with the charts I want I don't think I'll have to wip down at some point, just put them all into rotation (maybe one page at a time?) why am I telling you all of this? you made me want to stitch more pieces at once.
@loriclarke29312 ай бұрын
I try to abide by my rule of finish two start one. Try. This year has been one finish two starts. Lol.

I love your plans but....I think you need to make space for progress on your dream projects. You love them so maybe, maybe make space for one dream project a month/week with your other progress pieces, just to keep your motivation and sanity lol! Happy Stitching

@ninal30982 ай бұрын
Why don't you work on your dream rotation right away? You could use your old pieces in WIPGO and make steady progress on them by that way. I have 5 focus pieces which I work on every month for set amount of stitches. For instance a wip that has 290 000 stitches I stitch 6000 stitches a month in order to finish it 2026 and so on. So I have a plan to finish a full coverage cross stitch every year and have a clear vision what I want to accomplish in 2024-2027. Beyond that will become more clearer when I finish more things. As for new starts I can have one. But my rule for that is that my most recent new start has to have 10% goal reached before I can start new one. I tend to start more small things because that way I can add a new start sooner 😁 I usually have plenty of "free time" after my focus pieces and can work on whatever I feel like when I feel like. That's how my new starts get more stitches in and finally become my focus pieces. I don't play WIPGO.
