Few things to say: 1. Superconductors wouldn’t work if you look at the lore of Wipeout, as the first test flight was in the Nevada Desert, with no track; 2. My own theory is that the AG ships in Wipeout use AG Generators which emit what I’ve dubbed ‘Graviton Disruption Fields’, which, as the name suggests, causes disruption of the theoretical particle that causes gravity, coined as Gravitons. It’s all theory as it delves into quantum physics. And 3. When you make a Wipeout video or clip, DON’T USE PILOT ASSIST!!! For god sake, there is nothing that peeves me off more than seeing pilot assist being used within a Wipeout video.

I think the key to wipeout would be having a dedicated lift engine that redistributes some of the trust to keeping the ship hovering on a pocket of air and then uses the rest for braking and acceleration, kinda like a more stable harrier only completely different, thebships would mostly use ground effect to stay at the right height with small intakes to reduce air pressure on one side of the ship when banking for a turn

No story! You've obviously haven't heard of the fall of the F9000 in Wipeout Fusion, and you have obviously never heard of airbrakes. Each craft in each game has a set of 2 airbrakes one on each side, simply raise both and you will come to a stop.

Well, you can clearly see that boost pads just trigger an auxilairy booster on the ship. There is no air blown needed. Making "antigravity" shouldnt be hard anymore. You just need something light, and push it up like anything else that flies. So you pretty much need a drone that only flies at a fixed height with airbrakes, a pusher engine , some reaction control nozzles and a gyroscope.

lol remember the incident at the CERN where their liquid helium cooling circuit had a leak and they weren´t able to keep the temperature down on the superconductors and suddenly they had a resistance on a 16 kA line. It tore out a bolted in machine that weighed several tons and threw it across the room.

The scientist dude makes a fatal assumption; he assumes that we can't make a room temperature superconductor. If we can manage that, no need for supercooling equipment. Also, I'm PRETTY DAMN SURE that in the future, we'd be able to manufacture superconductors that are more resilient, as well as being able to superconducting at all temperatures.

There's a poor amount of research done in this video. Not of the science but of the game. The crafts do not follow the track, you can fly off the track and they will still hover. They can even hover over asphalt roads as seen in 2048. They can hover regardless of the track so I don't think super conductors and magnets in such a simple fashion can work like the crafts in the game do.The only time they stick to the track is with the special road that also fires electric bolts to the craft, which you see during the loops and bumpy sections in various WipEout tracks. It's almost like you haven't even played the game before making this video.

The only thing I don't like about the show is the excessively long intro. You need to get that thing down to a few seconds or so.
