i have to admit that i discovered the wipers thanks to nirvana, but im not ashamed of it. this band i s now one of my favorites. so depressing, dark, it's all in the feeling., in the sensation the music gives you. it's so beautiful that i often cry when listening them.

Crazy to think Greg was 10 times better live than in a studio. How is that even possible!? His playing is hypnotic, mesmerizing, therapeutic, and visceral. Look at him on stage with the build up, he’s displacing energy 10 fold his own onto the crowd.

This was the sound that I was looking for as a kid in the 80’s. I didn’t discover this band till the late 90’s. Greg Sage is like a rock monk. He lives Rock n Roll daily.

sabbracadabra Nirvana were overrated overachievers who came along at the right time and carved out a career for many bands. Not a bad thing and they weren’t a bad band. But Sage and the Wipers are a different concept altogether....

sabbracadabra I’m not shitting on Cobain as a songwriter I think In Utero was his finest moment. There were other bands just as good who deserved the same level of fame, Mudhoney being one. But fame has fucked many a band up so....
@ShadSimm4 жыл бұрын
sabbracadabra it’s all about personal preference in the end. Cobain name dropped loads of bands and Wipers were one of them so that’s how I discovered them. He helped a few bands out too (Jad Fair,Shonen knife etc) opening for him cos he knew how hard it was in the underground. Although Sage was one guy who couldn’t be persuaded.
