I was an Electronics Technician in the Navy 55 years ago. My job for a little over a year was to make up new coax cables for submarine electronic countermeasure modules. It took everything you are showing in this video to a different level. If those cables weren't made to precise measurements, the units would not work. I got pretty good at it after a while. Anyway, I really enjoyed this video. I'm still making up cables - will be making some for some 4 awg marine wire in the next week. And, I'm still learning! Thanks.

That blue Irwin wire stripper tool is one of my faves. It's awesome. Best money I've spent.

When stripping cable with multiple wires I like to cut a line no longer than the length I will be stripping off the inside wires then use the pull cord or wire inside to extend my cut back so the desired length of wire is exposed. I’ve found even when being careful I can still cut the inside wires if I strip the desired length right away. No risk of cutting the inside wires this way.

Have you used vampire scissors? They are my go to for large wire.

I’m making a free online trade school. In order to do that, I have to cover some stuff that’s ‘boring’ to some people so that when we get to the more advanced videos, I can skip it because it’s already been covered. If you don’t like it, nobody is forcing you to watch. There’s more ‘big picture’ stuff at work here than you realize, so please don’t spend your time giving me channel growth tips without knowing the full scope of what I’m doing here. As for 'squeezing views out of subscribers'; these videos aren't really target toward my current subscribers; they are geared toward people who are not yet subscribed and are at the very start of their electrical education journey. So... the best thing that our subscribers can do is actually to share these 'basics' videos with people who need them in various forums, facebook groups, etc... because that's who these videos are actually for.
