This is fascinating & absolutely mesmerizing to watch! I'm afraid if I tried to do this myself I would make a terrible mess of it. I'm much better at bead weaving with a needle & thread than I am working with wire. Maybe one of these days I'll get brave enough to try it. You make it look like the easiest thing in the world to do & I struggle with making a wrapped loop! All your work is absolutely stunning & I truly admire your outrageous talent! Your lovely voice has put me in a wonderfully relaxed state & that alone is worth it's weight in gold. I could watch you create all day!

This is the most beautiful, and NEATEST wire wrapping of a cabochon I have ever seen! You explained every detail to what would normally be a complicated project. But your bail is THE most beautiful of any other jeweler/ crafter bar none! It is exquisite! That is what caught my eye - the bail. GORGEOUS! Thank you for sharing.

you are amazing! Love everything you do. I have learned so much from you. it's wonderful that you share your designs. I have never done any wire wrapping before. I did a cabachon using your 5 strand weaving and made some roses to put on part of it. I wore it out shopping and received compliments in the first store! The second store a lady asked for my card and email address. I didn't tell her it was the first thing I made. So you have no idea how much I appreciate you. Have a very blessed Christmas.

I admire the ease with which you create these beautiful pieces. You make it look so easy. Your instruction is easy to follow. I aspire to achieve your level of skill. I am going to attempt this wire wrapped cabochon today using some copper wire as practice.
@Terry2fish9 жыл бұрын
It went beautifully until I got to the third row. I was using copper wire that I got free from an electrician who had a lot of scrap wire. When I was pulling the wire snuggley into position about half way around on the third row the loop on the first row broke. Any suggestions on how I might repair this without starting over would be greatly appreciated. I think it was a weak point in the wire and it had kinked there when I was making the first row. I felt like it went much easier than expected and had I not been using previously used wire it might not have happened. Good lesson! Happy New Year!

Thank you so much for teaching us all this method! You're the BEST teacher! Just a question though ... what type of wire do you use? The wire I purchased for this project seems to get stiffer and harder to form as I get to row two. A hint for us all as to the hardness and type you use would be wonderfully helpful. Thank you for all the beautiful creations! You are an inspiration.

Jenny. You are amazing. Your teaching and the designs are fun and can be applied to many types of focal pieces. But I am having this one problem. I can see that your wire flows smoothly. I understand there has to be caution to prevent kinks, but my wire (copper) hardens and breaks. I can't seem to pull it through without having to force it with pliers (round nose) or manipulate through in a circle bend. The further I go, the worse it gets. What brand of wire do you use. Is it dead soft? I've been doing this for a little while, but haven't put much money into it and the quality is effecting the outcome. Your help is appreciated. Christine Huck.

Hello! thank you for sharing. I really enjoy your work! I like to work with rough gemstones.... would this netting technique work on an irregular shape? It looks lovely on the hearts but what if there is no symmetry to the irregularity?
@CSLdesigns9 жыл бұрын
Joseph Lewis-Theriault Thank you very much. Yes it should work with irregular shaped gemstones. It's just a matter of making sure you 'cup' it in with the netting around the edges and it should be able to hold it fine :-)
