Now that's a great way to make that! I've been weaving my wire in the same upside down V shaped pattern, then removing my base wires. This process is much quicker!

@solanticx
@solanticx Жыл бұрын

@solanticx
@solanticx Жыл бұрын
Here in Latin America most of stone carvers sell stones with a groove on it, not just cabochons. But if you don't find one try to make one using a motortool like a Dremel, and a lot of patience! 👍🙌🤗🌒☀️🌘
@solanticx

@@solanticx Thank you so much for your reply .... I think I will try to find them already grooved... afraid I am not steady enough (or patient enough) to do it myself with a dremel .... but maybe I'll just try and see. Love your beautiful creations.

Would this work using a round bead with a hole instead of the groove?
@solanticx
@solanticx Жыл бұрын
I've seen wire wrappers using beads with sun weaves so I guess that you can do it. This technique it's just about using pliers instead of other wires to give the shape of rays. After that, what you do with the resulting rays it's up to you! Feel free to try and change anything needed! 🙌🙌🤗🙏🌒☀️🌘

What would the stone in the middle be called if I am trying to buy one online? Like what would I search to find the middle piece so I can buy one?
@solanticx
@solanticx Жыл бұрын
This one in particular it's a tiger eye. But if you are interested on the shape I would ask for a round cabochon with a groove around of at least 3 millimeters. The bigger the groove the easier to set the wire. Hope that helps! 👌🙏🤗🌒☀️🌘

Beautiful! I have not seen a stone with a groove in it, wondering if you created the groove yourself?
@solanticx
@solanticx Жыл бұрын
In Latin America most of stone carvers make this grooves, for macrame art, so I just buy from them. But sometimes, with the stones that I buy from India, that are usually cabochons I have to make the groove. But it takes a lot of time. I recommend to search on Facebook groups like Casa Trueke Parra, where local stone carvers from Mexico buy and sell their stones. I usually buy there. I made a short video some time ago working a cabochon with the Dremel, but as I said, I would use it only as an exception. Hope that helps! 🙌🤗🤙🌒☀️🌘

@@solanticx thankyou for your reply. Yes working with stone is slow dedicated work. I will have a look at some online, but when you get a stone you like, there is no alternative.
