OMG! What am I gonna with all this round wire? You certainly taught me where I was going wrong! I am talking years of wrestling with the wrong wire. Thank you very much!

You maybe can use round if you hammer it out 🤔.

Such useful information! I had no idea that those really beautiful pieces were made separately and then added to a frame - makes sense when you thing about it ! Thank you so much for your wonderful and enlightening videos. 😄

Ha! Thank you!!! ❤❤❤❤ I've been trying to identify the road block in my mind keeping me from finishing several pieces and putting some other things I've learned (mostly from you!) to better use. I needed to be able to incorporate all the pieces while maintaining confidence in quality and the integrity of the whole structure. I am tremendously grateful to you and your good work.

Wow... I learned so much just from this one video! I was always impressed by pieces with lots of different sizes & shapes of wire, and different coils, etc. I had no knowledge of frames, or how frames were put together. I didn't know frames were built piece by piece.....I thought it was all done around the stone, which seemed impossible (and probably is!) I also didn't know what square wire was for. Having seen this tutorial, I'm going to go get some! I had watched the coil-making video, and wondered what those coils were used for. Now I know! Your tutorials are extraordinarily helpful when it comes to learning to make wires do what you want them to, and not have a mind of their own. I just subscribed. I know I can learn so much from your videos!

in my country you cannot buy square or semicircular wire, I have to make everything from round wires
@sterlingstrand14322 жыл бұрын
If you lightly hammer some 16g round wire to about 1/2 it's original thickness on one axis, you'll have some decent framing wire that grips as well as square.

Could I use 18 gauge square?

If you dont mind my asking-- where do you get your materials? I have been struggling with "basic" micheals wire, I find it is too weak and extremely difficult to use for framing.
