Can you show adding elements to the frame, i think i understand the "frame piece" i would just love to see you adding several elements to the piece. Id feel more comfortable to get going and making my own. I started one and have a couple wires added but feel a little stuck now. Maybe you have this here already?? Ill go check and I apologise about the request if you do. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! 💕 i know im excelling a lot faster than i would if I was all on my own..

Thank you, again, for another great video. My question is regarding the frame wire. Do you use half-hard or dead-soft?

I prefer the crisp edge of the square wire over round any day. I heartily dislike the molded contours of round wire. Square wire is more sculptural, crisp, sharp, angular, and gives more texture to a piece. It is also easier to secure than slippery round wire. If I use round wire for any reason, I hammer it to look squarish or flat. Round is easier to work with since it has no flat surfaces you have to keep track of, but on the down side, it is boring and slippery. The half round is best for lashings and tie downs as the flat side grips the frame better than being a slippery round edge. There is more contact surface on the flat edge, while the half rounded top looks lovely with its raised contours. So this is a perfect combination you are using and I am happy to see some demos in it. Beautiful pendant, as expected from your channel. Love the brownish garnets! I have carnelian beads I want to use this on. Thank you for this demo, much appreciated. I would love to see some large rectangular wire frames with square wire framing, half round lashings, and large flat stone slabs/ cabochons as a statement piece with some smaller stone beads too. I was wondering if perforated metal could be used as a backdrop for stones in this type of squarish frame. Large is the key word.

You've converted me to a lover of square wire! Another great video! I always struggle with composition and it always doesn't come out as I planned which often then ends up in the bin of "experience" pieces ... Yours always look great! :D Cheers for sharing!!

Your frame concept is great. I've built 4 fairly intricate frames and the square wire simplifies the entire process. On one I used 8ga.square and that made an awesome frame for a larger carbochan. Thanks for your tutorials.

You make it all look so simple! Thanks so much for the information, each video you make is amazing. Would love to see how you secure these smaller stones in, would it be a similar process to the large stones where you aim to clamp one side of the stone down at a time? Or possible securing when you are adding the 'flow' wires down from the bail?

This is what I'd like to see as well... the process of securing the stone, then adding the "filigree" I think it's called. I'm a newbie so all of this info you share is beyond helpful and so much appreciated. Thank you!

That sounds like a beautiful stone! Have you considered wrapping it so that it hangs horizontally? It might lend itself rather handsomely to that configuration. Best of Luck!

When purchasing wire, I've come across steel and aluminum wires that leave dark marks on my fingers as I'm working with them. Do you have any recommendations for this issue? Or is it not really an issue at all?
