Holy cow, what a gorgeous bull! You really showed him respect by taking care of him and showing his beauty through death. Can't help but feel a bit sad for the bugger as that sounds like a painful way to go. Props to you man, you nailed it once again!

My husband brought me one to do with a pretty crazy break at the brow tine and he wanted to see what I could do as far as art wise. Well, I watched a boatload of your videos and sure enough it turned out beautiful. I'm definitely grateful that you take the time to break down and explain the process. But this piece you have for us today is definitely the best I've seen. Not much had to go into it to make it gorgeous.

Cool, I did a neat skull not to long ago on a javelina for my dad where someone had shot it at some point with bird shot in the face. So I saved the pellets from where they were in beaded and glued them back in.

I killed a mule deer here in Montana 3 years ago that had wire wrapped around one antler a number of times and 2 long strands of it running down his side, almost touching the ground. I cut the 2 long strands off and had a European mount done and put a name tag of WIRED on it. No where near as much wire that on that elk. Very cool.
@MrQuack8118 ай бұрын
That might have been my favorite animal I've watched you do. And ive watched you do so many. I started a European Mount business in NY called Trophy Skulls, (find on Facebook) all because of you!! My first season which was this past season I did over 80 whitetail. I figured out a system that works wonders for me, along with all the stuff ive learned from you. My key to business is that I actually boil with the fur on for my first boil. I found out there is no need to even skin the deer head. After the first boil the fur pulls right off the skull and typically takes all the meat and tissue with it. Then i degrease for the next boil (simmer with clear dawn dish soap) Then I pressure wash and coat the skull in cream peroxide. Let sit for 24 hours and rinse. Thank you so much for your videos. You're an awesome guy for sharing your wealth of knowledge. Thanks again

Love your videos! I'm new to this and still have a lot to learn. My question to you is, what can I do with skulls that have already been boiled and not fully washed and left to sit with flesh still on them? I've had a few customers bring them to me that way. I can get them to turn out decent but I not as good as I personally would like them to be. Any advice would be appreciated.
@WHITEBONE2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. my advice for any unfinished skull is to just soak them in plain water until you can get around to cleaning them. The water will loosen up all the tissue slowly leech out grease and keep things from drying and staining the skull.
@theageingadventurers42832 жыл бұрын
So your're doing a 1/9 ratio with the colour now instead of the 50/50 mix? Awesome video as always man! That is one crazy mount! Love it! I'll be grabbing the app as soon as I upgrade this old dinosaur of a phone LOL!
@WHITEBONE2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so so much. Yes I’m constantly in flux with the color batch. Because aqua silk is 27% peroxide it seems to get the job done at any percentage. I’m now just using 1 gallon of either brand and however much water it takes to top off the skull.

@charlievanlandingham5672 жыл бұрын
Not by any means an expert but I would make sure the good antlers stay the same width and make sure my cuts at the pedestals were clean and straight. As far as connecting not sure if I would go with glue or try to drill and screw from inside the skull or some sort of double end screw

Thanks a lot for teaching me and if I become a taxidermist I will follow your amazing methods!
