Hackney is mastermind of flipping/pitching. Great knowledge on so many levels & bait type breakdown in cover.

Really love this video. Not an obvious advertisement for products. Very informative. Where in a mat to pitch, what weight he’s using, how he’s fishing it, the reasoning behind all of that and ofc some awesome catches. Don’t get me wrong, I’m okay with your product feature videos I’m always interested in trying something new, but I hate when I get clickbaited by this channel with a title that states it’s informative and it’s 90% advertising. I’m sure a lot of other viewers agree we’re going to watch it regardless.
@Wired2Fish5 жыл бұрын
We don't do that intentionally but appreciate the feedback. We'll try to do better on the titling. And we're always trying to get better at providing useful, helpful information to anglers while working with the companies that support us and other anglers.

Agreed, this was a very good video that was instructional...and not an obvious advertisement. And I also agree with James to a point. In all forms of social media geared towards a sport, and print media as well, we often feel click-baited into a sponsors sales pitch. For a long time I hated that. But I realized after a while that it not only pitched me a product, ( I hate commercials!) but it TAUGHT me something I might not have known before. Even if I don't like a certain brand or don't use the product, or can't stand the pitch man\woman, underneath the sales pitch is instruction. I learn how to use that type of product, or learn something that helps me make decisions on whether I want to try something new or try a new technique. I still flip the page prematurely, mute the TV or stop a video early if I feel I'm being 'sold', but I try to learn something new from the pitch before I do. I believe the vast majority of W2F media is instructional, but like he said, very diplomatically, they have sponsors to keep happy. I'm OK with that. 👍🏼

I love me some mat fishing. It's s fun getting into a scrape like that. It's amazing just how many fish will get into cover that looks like a it's to heavy for bait fish to get it. Hackney is a BEAST!
