I watched another Gerald video and my father took me bass fishing when i was a baby. and i've been doing it ever since. I fished for bass now for over 40 years and never liked or had confidence in a jig. I looked at them as ways to get hung up baits. After watching Gerald descibe a jig last winter I busted out all the jigs I had laying around and began fishing it at least once a trip. At first I sucked.. couldn't get a bite. Then one day in the following summer it happened. It just clicked. I was fishing it wrong. That day I caught a two lber on my second pitch with a jig. then five casts later a three lber. I have gone jig niuts now and will always have pone tied onm. I love Gerald. He's a great guy or one hell of a actor. Either way I can't thjank him enogh.

I have never been patient with jigs, caught a few nice ones, but if I'm not getting bit i reach for another rod and bait. Watched you video Monday, went out tuesday afternoon fishing from shore. Caught 3 small ones in 5 casts and a few casts later got a nice 4.2. Vital info on feeling the weight of the jig. I was banging it off rocks in less than a foot of water, could not feel the jig weight, reeled down quickly and set the hook. Thanks for the awesome video, I'll be fishing jigs in the heat all the time now.

Hey Big G! Love your videos brother wherever I can find them. I’m like a sponge trying to learn whatever and whenever I can when not on the water. I only get on the water once a week but that’s rain or shine so you fill in the gaps for me in between. Hands down one of the best teacher there ever was or is. Watching and listening to you I can tune everything else out. Ok I’ll stop before you think I’m gonna ask you out on a date. This is and older video so don’t know if you’ll see this but have a question. What reel handle grips do you use? Can’t find any that fits me exactly. I can’t afford all the same brand reels so I have about 15 different brands and want them all to feel more the same. If you took the time to read this freakin book I wrote ya maybe you will let me know some to try. Appreciate you buddy and all of team Swindle!

@Wired2Fish3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jake, we're not 100% sure but know that Swindle has always been a huge proponent of casting/pitching/flipping with both hands due to the enhance efficiency. Most definitely helps with detecting quick bites on the fall by eliminating the hand switch.
