I installed this in my f10, the manufacturer was Andream, and the product was rubbish on Android Auto mode. Wireless connection very slow and each time you connect, you have to reset and reconnect the phone. Overall not worth it. Glad your one had no issues.

I got roadtop for both f02 and my f10. The f10 model is really good audio sounds great. Only rare for connection to not go through. F02 version always connects but audio doesn’t sound as good as oem cds/radio. Otherwise works fine. Both carplay I haven’t tested android auto but might be soon with my new phone. Really depends on which manufacture you get

I know I’m quite late but you could use a CarPlay dongle from somebody like carlinkit. I have aftermarket CarPlay in one of my other cars and plugging that into the usb port really helps the speed

For the Aux connection can you use bluetooth receiver at the center console and the wire coming out of the box?

As long as the aux from head unit is connected to something that also connects to car aux it’ll work.

Is there similar solution for G30 with EVO units? I have 2018 M550 and love the car, but there is no Android Auto. If I can get Android Auto without changing the head unit - it would be perfect.

My 2017 M6 also has EVO unit and no android auto. There’s a version for EVO as well so you can buy that. Same process

What about the mic? I didn't see you plugging the OEM microphone to the new module. Isn't it necessary?

I forgot to mention this in the video but i ended up not installing the mic for now. Spent too much time finding where to put the little box. It taps into factory mic but you need to run the wire from the box to the driver a piller to the factory mic

When in CarPlay/Android auto mode there’s settings app. Hold down menu to go between factory and aftermarket system

Hi.. Thanks for the Video .. I have an BMW 750I F01 from 2008.. Full Option. It's really disappointing I can't Use the Software like in the Modern G12 Models.. Like watching or Listening to You Tube in the Car.. Bluetooth.. You know, I don't want that the only Option is Using USB.. And even that and Bluetooth isn't working properly in my Car. I can't do anything of that stuff. I need all the Wireless Functions the G 7 Models has to offer. Is this all possible with this Module? I really would like to know.. Have to be sure. I am using an Android Phone by the way..

All this does is provides carplay and android auto. It also provides screen mirroring from phone. So as long as your aux works it’ll work. It can use it’s own bluetooth independent from car bluetooth.

@@cs.studios Thanks! The Cables for the Cameras and all, doesn't it make the Camera Functions even better? I have Back Up Cam and Front Camera in my Car.. But I would be glad to even Upgrade it into something better Sharper . Or wouldn't this make any Sense?

I recommend looking at 14 model at least which has N63T engine. More reliable than the n63 in 2011-2013 models. Or get a 740Li instead. N63 plan for some sort of issue lol

@@cs.studios You forgot the Diesel model! Pulls well and quiet - best fuel economy... you didn't buy a race car for a reason... so enjoy it well with a diesel and kick back on cruise control whilst your rear passangers soak in the experience! 730Ld are good
