This is how you know this guy is an idiot and doesn't actually understand tech. 2gb ram isn't sufficient for a large operating os like windows or for running multiple apps however this is for a car first and all all you're gonna run is 2/3 apps (music, navigation and dvr for your cameras) and that's running on a light os with 2 of the apps in background and one app open + 32gb storage with around 25+GB free after installing a few apps on there which allows it to use the rest as virtual memory and it's all soc with flash memory. It's not here to play games on so it's unnecessary to need more memory. Also 2nd point if you're gonna run Carplay or android auto all of that is powered by your phone the headunit just sends and receives signals the processing is done on the phone so you could even get away with 1gb you just need enough to run the os in background I just use 2gb to have that extra leeway for when a bit more than 1gb is needed
