The whole kit is made by these guys but I requested a ramair filter so I paid a bit more to get the ramair one with mine. From what I know though I've heard there's is basically the same material just their own brand

Got a caxa aswell but it’s cranking and trying to start but it’s not getting to starting I’ve stripped off the slam panel and stuff as I’m thinking of an engine swap but don’t know what’s possible in these cars any ideas?

Hi guys if you’re looking at this radio, don’t buy. It’s wired, GREAT, less delay. Think again, this shit will play up. Please save your money, I can’t recommend anything, but the one in the link from the description looks promising.

Hey fizzy I’ve had this unit for almost a year. Some things I’ll be honest regarding it. It started playing up, in terms of connecting at times. Sometimes if I move the apple wire slightly it will turn off. And sometimes it will take long or keep saying, unlock phone, when it is. I’m sick of it. I’m thinking of removing the CarPlay screen and fitting it in again. Any idea if this would help out ? Or should I opt in for a new screen. I don’t really want to. It’s my first car and it’s not a great car but might remove it, if it doesn’t work at all.

Yeah it was good for a bit but then similar thing happened to me and a few others so I tried out some new one and the best one now is the one I've put in the description. Id really recommend that if you are looking to change the screen and it has even better features like wireless Carplay and so on

Does a sports cat add sound?. I already have both resonators deleted and it’s loud enough, but also feel I’ve lost power after removing my mid silencer. Now I’m just looking for extra airflow

If you go for a straight pipe before getting the car mapped then you could see a reduction in power as there's more airflow yes but because it's not mapped to make use of it then you'll just cause a big loss of back pressure which would then cause a loss in power. Id recommend fitting the res and go for a decat + backbox delete.

@@Fizzy.g update I found the issue. The line from the dump valve was cracked. Replaced the hose in 5 minutes now it’s sounding and pulling excellent

For a golf I'd definitely recommend getting part from midnight performance UK. You'll need a decat and induction kit 100%. DM me on Instagram if you need any more help with it

1. Just start and drive, no need to wait until it idles at under 900rpm. 2. I'm driving around with the 1.4TSI (CAXA), it runs perfect with ANY 95 E10 (10% Ethanol) 3. High octane fuels make the car run a tiny bit more efficient, but the high price of these fuels completely makes it useless. Also the car doesn't run better on the E5. 4. Direct injection engines benefit from having the head cleaned from carbon every 50.000-100.000 km. 5. Coils (called bobines above) only need to be changed when broken. Mine still drives fine with the factory coils (almost 160.000km).

Best to wait until idles under 900rpm as the chain tensioner run off oil pressure so you'd want some pressure to build up. Yes for non twincharged E10 95 Ron is ok. Carbon clean isn't 100% needed aslong as you properly drive the car and rev it out regularly. And yeah coils don't really tend to go but spark plugs need doing every roughly 40k miles

Yeap, serviced mine after app 35.000 km. No notification on the dash yet, will just keep my own interval. I saw 35k is a bit too much, as the oil was pretty black. Will decrease to 25.000km and see what the oil looks like.

I’m actually in Thailand. My first one os exactly the same as yours. After 11 months the Ic board is fried. Couldn’t find replacements so I ordered Xtrons with DVD slot. Just had is for like 2 months. Can’t say if it’ll die out again though. Fitment from Xtrons is better though as there are virtually no gaps. It does cost more though.
