Wireless charging for your Samsung Galaxy S3

Got the set on eBay. Under $15.00. Put it in phone. Plugged in charger and it started charging immediately. Put my otterbox back on and still charged.The receiver I bought did not have any adhesive on it. I just laid it on top of battery and carefully put phone cover back on. If it stops charging I'll put some double sided tape on it.Does get warmer than I like, but not to bad. Also, it charged faster than I thought it would. Now I'll wait and see how long it will last. Thanks!!

Well presented. I have a Galaxy 3 and even with my otter box it charges fine. It took a few seconds to confirm charging. The phone is thick with the cover and it still works. I switched to plugging it in the wall with an Aukey adapter and it charges pretty fast.

Take and put a couple of rubber bands around the housing unit and that should take care of your slipping problem that way all problems are solved I'm surprised you didn't think about this this is my first time observing one of your videos I came up with that solution within seconds of seeing and you spend your phone

This video is pretty old, I have not used that S3 in years. A rubberband is going to create more distance between the coil and the phone and will reduce the charging rate even more.

It doesnt take 17 hours LMAO.. I charged my galaxy s9 edge with a wireless charger in about the same time as using a wired charger, it's actually faster by a small margin...

The output is very low. 500mA. The Samsung standard wall charger is 2 amp out put. That's 4 times as more than the wireless plate. At 500mA it would take hours to charge.

Tim Manes How do you know the battery is really being charged at 2 amps? The phone itself regulates the charge, not the wall transformer. I'm not finding the wireless charger to be much slower than the 2A charger.

You can tell easily nowadays. Now that phones have bigger batteries. Wireless charging will be slower then wired. 2A will charge the phone much faster then 0.5A (500mAh)! 0.5A is the output of a typical computer USB port & that usually takes 3hr+ to charge.
