At time 3:22 you set the variable to Read Only. In the sketch you have it set to Read & Write. (Time 4:6). If you set the variable to Read only, you will not get this line in your code "void onRelayChange()". Have you done some changed that are not in your video?

3:21 The variable should be read and write. If not the setup doesn’t work. I tried myself. But the rest of the video is ok 👍

I can't get it to upload the code, it keeps timing out. I know it's the right port because it works in arduino IDE. Is there any settings I need to change?

Have you made sure that the module is in programming mode? Make sure to put it into programming mode and pull the reset pin high.
