Modern researchers try to bring to life the idea of a scientist who lived more than a hundred years ago. We are talking about Nikola Tesla. In 1891, the inventor developed the Tesla coil, a resonant transformer that transmits electricity without wires, but only over short distances.
Due to its limited capacity, it was not used. However, the scientist was not going to give up and created a project for a power plant that could cope with high-voltage wireless power transmission. Tesla tried to use it to transmit messages wirelessly over long distances. Unfortunately, the JP Morgan investor refused to provide additional funds for the tests, and, in 1906, the project was canceled and closed. Tesla’s dream was to place huge towers around the world that could transmit power wirelessly to any place, powering houses, enterprises, industrial facilities, and even giant electric ships in the ocean. Tesla died, unable to fully realize his idea of wireless electricity, but his followers continued the work of an outstanding scientist. In 1964, microwave electronics expert William C. Brown, first tested a helicopter model capable of receiving and using microwave beam energy as the direct current through an antenna array consisting of half-wave dipoles with highly efficient Schottky diodes.

um actually we as humans have had this ability since ancient Egypt. the Giza pyramids were wireless electric power plants and people had pots made into batteries. this ended once the west todays america nuked Africa. this is how we have over here a over 2k year old nuclear facility in the US that's still technically active with fresh water running over the core. from this advanced era they still have a satellite in orbit called the black knight satellite. so is this new no yu are right. but when it was created not.

Its not as sinister as that , but signalling wireless could have some one trying to use the free power in direct line of sight. The coil kit for receiving it is large and is more expensive than a wire . But on single routes to a remote location its very effective. it has got some great fall backs as radiation in that area of line of sight, Pluss can stop cell phone use even tough on a different frequency. it is better on small distances and despite the video is very weather dependant just like pylons. The wetter the atmosphere the more power is required output to gain the same normal load. it can only send high freqency modulations like pylons and not dc power .

the trick is that we do wireles power based on electromagnetic radiation propogating out from the transmitter as a radio bubble, tesla coils aren't transmitting power like that, they aren't using induction, they are using resonance coupling to turn the ground into the neutral and the air into the hot wire. a true tesla coild transmitter reciever setup uses electromagnetic to generate the voltage and accomplish resonance, but the actual power transfer from transmitter to reciever is supposed to utilise atmospheric capacitance and transfer power electrostatically instead of electromagnetically. it makes a big difference, electrostatic resonant charge transfer is orders of magnitude less leaky than emr based power transfer.
