Wiring a New House for Home Theater and Internet

It's great to follow along - thanks for documenting it all! I think you're pretty trusting for the cable installer guy or gal to do that part of it right though - I would run that coax myself right to where I wanted it and just have them tap in within the garage.... I've had too many installer disasters with DirecTV and cable companies though the years, lol

Not sure about maintenance, but when I asked on the phone (twice) Spectrum agreed to run the cable “wherever we need it in the house.” 😬😬😬

you mention apple tv for streaming and things and mounting behind the tv. how do you do this and make it look good and be functional? I would love a suggestion. seems like my apple tv just "hangs" begind my mounted wall tv. thanks

I have to laugh at all of this smart home 🐂💩. I can understand having some features in a dedicated Bat Cave Theater for light dimming and automtion etc. But the whole house? Like really, is it that hard to walk over to the bloody wall and flip a switch. Do you really need to have your phone glued to your hand all day long so that you can control your whole house. Then, God forbid if your network gets hacked or infected with some crap. No thanks, I will stick to something much more reliable instead of the endless money pit.
