Yes, stop touching yourself at night.

I know it has been a while, but I'll throw out my .02 in case you are still dealing with it. It sounds to me like they are either only wired to the ac compressor, or something is wrong with the threeway wiring

Do you have the wiring diagram
@kurtpitre5442 жыл бұрын
Did you connect to the positive wire on the compressor?

Do the fans have 2 speeds?

Cool video series Steve! My only concern for your rig is the trip (on) temp seems high and cutout (off) seems high also...and we're watching your rig sitting still at idle. If I'm towing or hauling in stop and go traffic, I'd want want fans on sooner than 200! Here in AZ I run a 160 Tstat, so I'd cut it off at like 165, or 170. Just my $.02

I appreciate your input. I just went with what the directions said. Even in 100 degree weather in traffic, it never gets that hot. Love this thing! Never comes on in the winter at all. All that savings from the mechanical fan that ran all the time.

there are different thermostats on amazon you can pick up for your setup with different temps i got 2 for low and high speed low is from 165-185 and for the high from 185-200 thats what i did personally
@wahaboy5953 жыл бұрын
i forgot to mention that i tapped the ac clutch for low speed so the low speed will kick with either ac or temp
@AZsmoothrider3 жыл бұрын
@@wahaboy595 yes that seems reasonable..I like the idea of having an adjustable setting too.

Hey great vid but how do u get the idle to go up when the ac is on

Hi I have 3rz engine. Have converted to electric fan. I’m just lost how to connect the thermal switch to the ac clutch. Can I just connect to the ac signal from the thermal switch to ac fuse making it a lot easier to run the wire?
@charlesm88346 жыл бұрын
SSSSSOOOO wish you would have done this with one fan and relay. any idea where I might find it? or possible instead of the color of the wires the pin numbers? my I did the conversion on my wrangler and the air will not blow cold. I think this is the issue

Is there a direct part number for this fan setup or do I just need to email them? Did this setup keep your trans temps cooler than the original equipment? Did you have to upgrade your alternator? Thanks

I didn't notice any improvement compare with my original clutch fan. How is horsepower after installation of the Efan?
@TahoeSteve7 жыл бұрын
You should get ~ 6-12 hp gain. On a 300 hp engine, that would be hard to "feel". It's still a great mod though, and mine keeps the temps nice and cool.

I don’t have access to the compressor because it’s under the motor on my chevy 5.3 burb 2001 is there a fuse or relay I can used instead?
@TahoeSteve6 жыл бұрын
i'm hoping someone else will chime in because that's a great question. Alternatively - if you pull the wheel and the plastic wheel fender you should be able to get to the starter fairly easily
@stoneyswolf6 жыл бұрын
You can just tap in right off the pcm you don't need to connect directly at the compressor.
@oralwayne29977 жыл бұрын
how do you fuze the connectors together
@TahoeSteve7 жыл бұрын
Buy a 3 way connector or make your own.
@stoneyswolf6 жыл бұрын
I do mine from scratch it's much easier to do a clean install. First I figure out how many relays I need then figure out where I want to mount them. Then I mount and install my fan switch and all that's left is run wiring.

any chance you have that wiring diagram still or a pic that you can post. thanks

I think i would be more worried about not having any oil pressure then adding efans. Unless your gauge is bad.

Tom Kiker not sure what one has to do with the other but thanks for watching

So these fans stay on the whole time you are running the ac? Thats not good on the fans in the summer time.
@brucekirk53865 жыл бұрын
Factory wiring is the same every time you hit the AC button it activates the second fan or speeds up a single fan
@walterk12216 жыл бұрын
I would have done a couple things differently. First I would have use auto-reset circuit breakers rather than fuses. Second, I would have requested an automotive A/C shop fabricate a tee fitting to allow use of a 250-275 psi pressure switch installed to the high side A/C system. This is much cleaner than triggering from the compressor clutch.
@TORAH-6135 жыл бұрын
Walter k do you know how to wire it that way. Because that how i want mine but dont know how
