Just as a caution for anyone coming past and seeing this, click type torque wrenches such as these are length dependent, and measurements taken with force applied at a distance other than that shown by the ring on the handgrip (marked for this purpose) will not be accurate. If you're using a deadweight technique, the weight must be hung at that point and the resultant torque setting adjusted according to the ratio of the actual distance to 12". e.g. a common 15" wrench would set to 25 ft/lb for a 20lb weight: 15/12 = 1.25 x 20 = 25 (It may not be exactly 15" though, alter as required.)

First I check and tighten all connections from the turbo heater to the propane tank and use soap and water on the connections to check for any leaks. Then I set my propane tank outside the garage between the garage doors and I keep one garage door up one panel high. I set the turbo heater about 2 feet inside pointed diagonally toward the opposite corner of the garage. I set all gas cans outside beside the garage for extra caution. It does a good job heating the garage. People use propane stoves and dryers inside their homes everyday with no vents so I feel pretty safe with the precautions I take

I'm awaiting delivery of a propane heater from Home Depot. lt gets as low a -12 around here and that's just too cold for me to work in my unheated shed. There are lots of are gaps in the construction of my shed that Co shouldn't be a problem but I will get a monitor. Thanks for this video.

Why do Americans have no idea regarding the correct pronunciation of words ? The word Soldering is pronounced with an L ! Yes - the word has an "L" in it. Sodding is what perverts do with odd people or animals!

A couple of things I did. First got a long hose and keep my tank outside (no risk of propane leak) secong I have an exhaust fan build into a 12"x12" 2x4 box to support the garage door and have thick vinyl draped down at bottom of the door. The other consideration is the concrete floor - you may warm the air but the floor will be cold so get a rubber mat or something to lay on.

My guy! This is exactl;y what i needed. I've done a ton of sub setups. Swapped out plenty of head units and speakers. I have yet to amp aftermarket speakers. This is going to help me so much! Everything is sounding great right now, but i just need a little more from the 6.5's and 6x9's. The head unit i have in right now is only pushing 17 watts to each channel. My 6.5's are rated for 60rms, and the 6x9's are rated for 200rms. Both sets are the JBL GTO series respectively. I'm gonna save this video for when i get my 4 channel amp in.

I'm sure it burns clean but what's more concerning is consuming the oxygen in the space for the combustion.

This may have answered a concern I have with the one that I just bought today. I realize that this vid is over 4 years old, but here's what I'd like to confirm. I noticed when you plugged it in, the igniter was buzzing away as it should. Mine does that immediately as well. I'm pretty sure that after the unit was running and working, that I hear the igniter still buzzing away. In other words, it didn't turn itself off after detecting that things were working. And THAT is what mine is doing too. I'm wondering if this is by design or if it's a fault. Perhaps leaving the igniter buzzing away is maybe a safety feature so that, oh I don't know... if the propane stops for a moment, for some reason, then flows again, this will automatically light it up. Not sure. Do you or anyone know if this is how these types works? That the igniter is constantly on? Thanks in advance.

I literally came here to see if that was normal operation. I was under the impression the clicking would go off after igniting.
@BlondieHappyGuy11 күн бұрын
@bcarman120 It turns out that the ticking remains on. Apparently, it's to keep the sparker going in case the fire goes out and the gas keeps flowing. It would reignite, which is good. I actually returned mine. It worked fine, lots of heat, but 2 issues: 1-the thing uses way too much expensive propane! Something like a 20lb tank in a couple of hours! That's too pricey. 2-it's a bad idea to have open flame in an enclosed area where there are flammable liquids around, especially gasoline in containers. So I returned it and plan on getting one of those "Chinese Diesel Heaters". Their flame is enclosed and apparently, on low, some can run for 15-20 hours (or more) on 1 gallon of diesel. That's really cost efficient. Plus, some of the "higher end" ones are now thermostatically controlled. So they cycle off and on as needed. That saves fuel.
