Nice work. I've seen these in the wild but had no idea what they were.

Thanks! I’ve only seen them a few times.

@@stlelevators They're all gone now, but when I was in college a hundred years ago, the UMD campus had dozens of these but the buttons were a really cheapy, flimsy plastic version of something that looks somewhat like todays Aurora. I haven't a clue who made them.

Oh interesting. I've only seen these used on some 1974 Westbrooks that were modded in 1995 by Dover. They had Brass Regency Call Stations with the lights above the full button oddly (above the outer ring), but the COP's were Traditional.

I've seen a very similar version of these used on another Dover. They press a lot different than these.

Again, thanks for doing this! I hope you guys enjoy it! For those curious: This button came from the Grant Medical Center Blue Garage. And those scratches... Those are from me ;-; There was rust there and I tried to sand it off... Did not end well.

Ah that explains how the scratches got under the button. Thanks for sending it in!

A serious flaw with the button is no waterproof gasket around the outer ring of the button part. The whole outer ring was rusted out lol.

you soldered the wire to the contact finger, now how do you connect the elevator wiring? isn't that from and for an elevator? both videos i saw, you played with things, BUT do you re-assemble them to actual elevators? Also, why you never show how to remove the panels Thanks (if u still around here lol)
@stlelevators8 ай бұрын
These parts don’t get connected to actual elevators. This piece is on display in an elevator museum now. I don’t show removing the panels because I don’t remove them. These are given to us as is and I wire them up for display purposes.
