OK so when you put the wires into the keystone jack you don't strip them. How do they make any connection? Hope that makes sense.

You don't strip them. The wires will make the connection once you push them down with the punch down tool. Thanks for watching.

Hey I’m looking to run some cat cable throughout my house. My router is in the basement (far west of house) and the my room is upstairs (far east of house). What is the best way to run those wires? Would it be thru my attic? P.S: Your video is 100/100 rating. Explained everything very well.
@UltimateTechHub Жыл бұрын
How will you run the ethernet from the basement to the attic? Are you running it though the floor or walls? I would try and move the router to the first floor to make it easier. Is there a reason your router is in the basement? Also remember if you join my channel membership or join my patreon you get 1 tech support question per month plus other awesome benefits. Good luck and thank you for the kind comments.

Amazing video! But when you put brown and orange wires on the same side when you wiring on wall plate, it seems like a 568A?
@MichaelVogtOKАй бұрын
I think there's a diagram on the keystone, but either way it shouldn't matter as long as you do exactly the same thing on the other keystone jack. Consistency seems like the main priority.

0:46 Those rubber boots get really hard over time and make it extremely difficult to remove your connector. So hard that the easily frustrated person might damage something in the connector removal. I ended up taking a razor blade to the bump protectors and cutting them all off.
@UltimateTechHub6 ай бұрын
Yes they can but once I install my ethernet I never touch them again. Set it and forget it! Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
@andrewm6329Ай бұрын
The boot can be pulled back if it's really getting in the way, then reinstalled once you have successfully disconnected the cable. There are better systems for moulded cables, but the boot is your best option for making your own cables.
