Lol. 3 years too late. I called asking this very question and was told I was S O L and figured it out on your own. "Varies by make and model" FYI I went on the firewall just above the starter, right next to the cowl wire gutter. 70 Nova

Built my first car, a 1973 pontiac firebird, and mounted it on the driver side inner fender. Its mounted along the same route the factory harness took originally. Safe and away from heat, stone kickups, water, etc. If you didnt know any better, it looks stock.
