Dave and a Wisconsin native here. My dad would often bring home cheese curds fresh from a local creamery. First day fresh was always the best, but if you let the refrigerated curds warm up to room temperature, the "squeak" will come back. Safe travels!

I enjoyed the samples at the cheese shop, especially the squeaky cheese curds. The Wisconsin Bloody Mary looked very tempting, and the Fish Friday was fantastic with all the delicious sides. Loving watching your adventure! I live on UK. We used to camp with our lads when they were young, ( now 45 and 47) we walked lots. Climbed couple mountains here in UK. I never made it to US but we did go to Canada. Also Australia, New Zealand plus few others. Our travelling days abroad are now over. Love 'travelling ' with you and our sons and their families. I really respect the fact that the kids have such a love for so many different kinds of foods and are at all afraid to try new things! I raised my kids the same way. When my girls were 6 and 9 they loved things like calamari and eggplant not the typical McDonald's crud. And, those Bloody Marys looked like something we have here called a Hail Mary with bacon, burnt ends, bacon and a brussel sprout. They are like a meal in themselves...AMAZING, even without alcohol!

About 4 years ago, I considered a grand travel plan of visiting all 50 states of America. Not in one journey. Over three parts. Part 1: East Coast 17 states, Part 2 Central / Middle 17 States, Part 3 West Coast 16 states. Covid-19 threw a major spanner in these plans and to date, I have yet to embark on this 3 year journey. (Not necessarily spending an entire 3 years in America). So living vicariously through your journey with your family, gives me a taste and preview of what I may expect when I get round to visiting the entire country. One key consistent plan or idea is to get notorized at each Mayor's office of each of the 50 states as a stamp of a souvenir of sorts! Nice!! Rockford was the beginning of us hauling the trailer around 🙌 I got these headbands at Walmart near the watch section. They are nice because they are thin and light so they keep my hair out of my face, mosquitoes out of my ears, can go in the washing machine, and aren’t tight (the tight headbands give me a headache).

Just watched the indiana video....as of August 6th at the Costco on Debarr Rd in Anchorage (closest Costco to Mat-Su Valley) Strawberries (2lbs) were $6.99, Cherries were $9.99 (same as Indiana).....there are 4 Costco Concepts in Anchorage. There are 2 traditional Costco's, one Costco Business Center (open to anyone with a membership- no fresh bakery, no fresh deli, no food court.....but also has industrial kitchen equipment and supplies plus a wider variety of restaurant and retail store products) plus there is a Costco Furniture Store.......hope to meet you shopping when you get here!!!! Safe travels!!!! Pioneer Auto and Wall Drug in South Dakota are great visits. Are you crossing in Washington or Montana?? I crossed in Montana with a 26 foot Uhaul and car carrier......Montana goes into Alberta- very straight and flat for that trailer of yours.

Awesome! Thanks for the Costco updates! Love it! Our kids can eat a container of berries each day 🍒 So many great Costco options!! I have a feeling we will be visiting all of them. Editing our South Dakota video now!! Should be ready for tomorrow 🎉 We will head to Canada through Montana. It’s great to know that you were able to do it with a trailer, too.

Thank you 😊 We reserve our campsites mostly at state campgrounds a few weeks in advance, but sometimes it is last minute. We have a national park pass and get a state park pass as needed (we are going through 13 states).

I never got into the vintage stuff to justify spending extra on aged things like cheese, wine, liquor, etc. People tell me an aged one tastes better, but to me, they all taste the same. So, a 1-year old cheddar and an 18-year old one would taste the same, to me.

At home, we eat pretty clean. On the road (with no refrigerator) and while traveling the world we try to eat some state/country highlights. Don’t worry, we’ll clean it up once we get a kitchen.

Yes, and vodka. You can get them without it, but we had them with it 🫒 🫒
