Mike and Jamie Henschel were born into farming. Their three boys are the 5th generation to work their land in Door County. They’re a small operation and survive by diversifying their farm and relying on long hours and hard work.

I am on the complete opposite side of the state… in Burnett County… dad sold our dairy cows in 1985… I was 17 .. I have had several jobs and some were quite high wages..but the only thing I have ever really wanted to do was farm… dad passed away in 2015 at 86 years old…. I was finally able to purchase the farm in 2016 …..it’s away of life that most people will never know or understand
