IT'S ALIVE ! IT'S ALIVE !!👹👺👺👹 Points and condenser, huh. They worked for many years and there's nothing wrong with them. Sometimes they need a clean-up or light filing to bring them back.The carb cleanup and boil was the ticket. Usually, old gas makes a mess of things when they sit around. I have this same engine on an old Makita generator that was given to me. I haven't had a chance to tear into it yet but it will be an upcoming video over the winter. Still adding the odd thing to a box that will go out next week---just hard to pick certain items considering the weight of everything to ship. Just tossed in a couple of tool bits for the lathe that are brand new...and some other surprises. Still working at it every time I think of something that will fit in the box. What will you run with the Robin engine?

I love breaker points. I was kind of beating myself up because I didn't think this engine would have them but danged if I could find why I had no spark as it didn't seem to be electronic. I finally removed the flywheel and there's the points. We got it now Bud! Sure as shit, some cleaning and it had spark again. A while back I put together a "tractor" using a Cub 3 speed 2 range rear some tube steel, and some other junk. I had a Briggs 23-D on it in the past and it always gave me grief so I just stopped running it and it sat for years. I put the Robin engine on that tractor and it works great. Very light in the front end, definitely needs weights but generally choke, one pull and it's going. I think it's only 5 or 6 HP but it's geared low enough that it doesn't struggle.
