Until a family has experienced going through a transplant they truly dont understanding what the whole process is like. Transplant was the best thing to ever happen to our daughter. To go from not knowing if she would live to see her 1st birthday to having hopes and dreams for her future is truly amazing. The 1st year after transplant was a complete rollercoaster. With many hospital stays, a tool box filled with meds, numerous appointments and lots of scary nights. She is 6 yrs post liver transplant now. My amazing sister donated and not a day goes by that Im not completely in awe and grateful of how far she has come. Best wishes to you and your family. And may both of our transplant children live a long, healthy and happy life ❤

When I worked for FEMA my kids were young. One of them asked me if it was okay to pray for a disaster so I could keep working. I told her disasters are going to happen. If she wanted to pray, then prayer for a disaster declaration. I feel the same way about organ transplant. We know we will all unalive at some point. I pray for the families to have the strength to donate organs so others may live and I give thanks when they do. It’s the gift of life. ❤️🙏💪

This kind of reminds me of something that happened to my Great Grandfather. He had an infection of some kind and then crippling arthritis. It was much worse than typical. It is so true this is a very rare complication same with my Great Grandfather. I am speechless about what to say...because this news is so overwhelming to hear. I am hoping for the best for your family. Stay strong. I know it's hard.

Waiting for a double lung transplant and agree that no one knows truly what they would do in a given situation until you have lived through it. I don't blame anyone. If I had better medical care when I was younger, I still don't know if I would still be in this situation. You can't blame yourself or anyone. We are all on a journey and we have to have some kind of peace that things work out the way they are supposed to. His situation was so unique that many of his previous symptoms would not have likely prompted a earlier diagnosis. Lung transplant is a difficult path my team has told me that I will likely spend even more time in the hospital than I already do which a lot. When you get to the stage that you are offered a DLTX, there are only two ways it can go. If you wait too long you run out of options. An angel and a selfless family gave Lonnie a fighting chance. That person didn't die for Lonnie, but did give him the gift of lungs he no longer needed. There are some people who never survived their transplant and others who have lived 35 years on their first transplant. Sometimes you do need a second or third transplant, none of us know going into it. You did EVERYTHING right for Lonnie and continue to do so. Bless you and your family ❤

As a mother also, I give you so much credit for your strength. When my son was 22 he was in a horrific car accident and not one policeman or fireman could believe he came out of it alive. I pray for you and your family and for that strong young man. May God keep him on this earth for a long long time. Even though I don't 15:14 know you, somehow I feel your pain. God bless you all.🙏🙏

The dentist should've prescribed antibiotics right after any 3rd molar surgery. 3rd molar surgery is a major surgery. Whether the patient has history of autoimmune disease or not one should always prescribe antibiotics after 3rd molar surgery to prevent any complications like this. Or right before the 3rd molar surgery the dentist should've done prophylactic antibiotics (drinking antibiotics before any surgery) Why should we prescribe antibiotics before or after the 3rd molar surgery is that it is a major surgery. It can cause inflammations in the face it can also cause serious infections in some cases. That's why we need to prescribe antibiotics to lessen down the inflammations in the face even if the dentist didn't know the history of the patient because anything can come. Or the dentist should've done a proper history taking to his/her patients. You just mentioned in the video that you have a family of autoimmune disease the dentist should've thought that your son's case might have an autoimmune disaease as well due to the genes (hereditary).

He did not AND he had symptoms of it when we moved to Colorado. The doctors think the area or elevation triggered it tbh.
