Wise Intelligent is right and exact when it comes to leading hip hop into a right positive direction. Not only did Hip-Hop not have us calling each other the N-word. Hip-Hop didn't start promoting negative lifestyles where some artist like Diddy were out here grooming and then preying on weak venerable people! Today's, culture vultures have coopted our genre turning it into something that's damn near criminal!

I've noticed that which was why I wouldn't go by the mainstream influences that is out, today. Before I let something that I'm listening to change me, I'll simply change what I'm listening to. It's not just the music, but the message, the connotation, the "gentrification of power" that lies inside me.

Thank you for putting this online. My old crew and I used to rock PRT, X-Clan all of that. My old crew were and are politically conscious and active. I admit I have fallen off and I realize that what W.I. says in this video is true. That atmosphere of consciousness is gone in the African American popular arts community. I am going to send this video out to my old friends.

so many could do so much and don't. what about the few that do little, are they immune? should we do more or none at all? promote positive. down negative. as long as we love the foolish, it will reign. we have to embrace the little man with a message rather than the big-hyped man with nothing but a tune.
