Okay I should have worded it better and NOT said ultimately the two fight because you can speak him out of it. Stupid on my part but reason was I wanted to talk about the destruction of the NCR and Legion. TLDR: You can talk Ulysses out of it and it’s not cannon that the bombs go off!

@ALLMINDmercenarysupportsystem6 ай бұрын
@YoungTroy23 While I highly doubt that the nukes were connonically launched, Kellog's memories do not invalidate that being the case. It was the trade route between the NCR and the Mojave that gets nuked, not the main NCR territory or a city.

If u think about it the tv show isn’t far off how a community such as shady sands could be wiped from the map as seen by the courier delivering a package an accidental destruction but the Tv shows a malice reason to wipe a town out just because he wanted his wife to suffer so it shows literally that any community even in the dc wastes and Boston’s it could be reduced without warning
@freeguy38945 ай бұрын
I thought the same after watching the show and finishing my NV run. Also, interestingly it was the NV fans that were complaining about nuking of Shady Sands, which is weird considering that Lonesome road is entirely about that.
@nagger82163 ай бұрын
The difference is the Divide was built around a stockpile of warheads waiting to be detonated, Shady Sands was built in the middle of bumbfuck nowhere. The lesson is to not be so careless with technology and situations you don't even understand. Ulysses even gives you shit because you rely *so much* on the Pip Boy, the map, the quest markers and inventory, instead of just paying attention to what you're doing. Hell, so does Father Elijah in Dead Money, and he's the exact kind of guy Ulysses is warning you about. That's the lesson, not "Uuuh.. war bad. War never changes." No, war never changes *because* of people that are either too careless, ignorant or malicious to change anything.

This dlc could be perfectly explained to me and still wouldn't make sense. Like the Courier just delivered a nuke activator on accident? Theres also the tunnellers which are never seen before and never seen again even though they are apparently this great threat (fallout show likely disproves this. Also because robots liked Ulysses he was able to survive all the nuclear blasts while literally every other person died or became a feral ghoul thing that organized into and ncr/legion alliance thingy. Also theres a courier v courier plot line going on for some reason. Theres also warheads you can shoot with a laser i'm assuming just to add something random. I also disliked the divide when playing through, it was boring 1 npc thats at the end, no interesting storylines, no interesting encounters, and nothing really fun

The marked men make no sense and prove that the area isn't that bad. You can stay there a month and none of them die from the wind. are they ghouls, why did the legion and NCR marked men join sides? What if the courier did die from the wind? makes most of what Ulysses did pointless. Cold revenge, the type that you didn't even know you had. So you kept that anger and desire for revenge permeate your being till the day you draw your last. I loved this game, but there was too much exposition dumps. I wanted to like Ulysses but I couldn't get over his past. But something inside me knew that no matter what I did, it was meaningless. Should have just let go and start again.
