Indeed. The stories of all the Disney movies are run by the characters’ wishes. They pursue them by themselves or give it up for more important things to make them who they’re meant to be. Magnifico’s been trying to deceive all that since the very beginning. The Fairy Godmother from Cinderella doesn’t just aid people in Cinderella, she aids people everywhere. For stopping Magnifico and returning the wishes to everyone, Asha proved to be the fairy godmother’s true successor.

If one remembers Pinocchio well enough, the Blue Fairy answers to Geppeto's wish for Pinocchio to be a real boy, having seen him as deserving for it because he gave a lot of happiness to others, then brought Pinocchio to life, but didn’t automatically make him a real boy. Pinocchio still had had to earn the wish by proving himself brave, truthful, and unselfish. That's what being a fairy godmother is really all about. Not granting wishes, but bringing comfort, guidance, and an extra push.

asha is not the fairy godmother of cinderella they are not even a little bit alike in my opinion she is just the fairy godmother of the kingdom of roses and she is not wearing her blue half pink cape and besides that she is not wearing the fairy cape godmother and yes, just a little sparkle in her look and many people say in the comments people say that the magnificent king will return in wish 2 and I hope so because I think he won't

I hope the sequel continues her orgin story,my theory is that she adopts an orphaned girl while teaching a class,like the orphan becomes cinderella's fairygodmother and her students would become the blue fairy, the 3 good fairies from sleeping beauty, merlin and the spring sprite!

Because we wouldn’t have a super special movie to celebrate the anniversary of Disney. And Star wouldn’t have made magical shapes of those Disney characters in the credits if they don’t even exist yet. Besides, it took 100 years for everyone to know the truth behind the Disneyverse.
