It's actually more like google translate, my friend is translating papers for electronic parts and this sounds exactly as english translations of chinese texts, he sometimes shares with us. I even regularly run into typos in manuals for plastic models, stuff like "semi *gross* black and similar (and it's not just chinese companies, that semi gross black is for example from manual in Hasegawa kit, which is Japanese). It's the issue with translating from languages using symbols for entire words into those where each symbol stands for individual letters in words.

@@trailguy Depending on the weight of the bullet, and the length of the barrel, yes .45 ACP can easily be subsonic. In general, a smaller caliber bullet will be quieter than a larger caliber bullet. Why? Because it lets you have a smaller hole through the suppressor. So, with that said, subsonic 9mm is quieter than subsonic (standard 230 gr) 45 ACP. However, the 45 is significantly larger and heavier (230gr vs 147gr).

Yeah though most of it is made for the US/Western European market for low budget home defense or airsoft, AR500 is not that usefull in modern combat scenarios, just look at Ukraine, seen a lot of dead ukrainians with plate carriers, the 7.62 API and 5.45 7N40 with the tungsten carbide penetrator the russians and ukrainians have, punches right through steel plates, ceramic is the way to go for that.
@Sergiblacklist
@Sergiblacklist 2 жыл бұрын
@@DerDrecksack87 why ceramic better than steel for that sort of thing.
@DerDrecksack87
@DerDrecksack87 2 жыл бұрын
@@Sergiblacklist API (armour pearcing incendiary) has a chemical tip in front of the penetrator, it literally melts through steel. This round has been produced by russia & china since the 60's, they have newer ones with tungsten penetrators, those will go through too. Ceramic is not influenced by chemical rounds and is generally thicker, more resistant, the downside being it is heavy, way more expensive and if hit by rifle caliber it usually gets damaged beyond being useful. In low intensity combat, like home defense the AR500 is sufficient, but i would not go to war with it, at least not in a near peer situation, insurgents mostly use old FMJ type ammo for their AKs, modern ammo is a game changer though.

@Bazinguh
@Bazinguh 2 жыл бұрын
I mean you technically are, if we don't count death. Depending on your mass and size, all those organ and blood could slow bullets down and basically make em lose momentum and just stop midway across your body. So basically you could protect against most low caliber rounds, maybe medium-ish rifle rounds at a distance. The more fat, the more slowness to bullets landed basically. your torso has a shit ton of organs so it'd slow it the most (basically the strongest part). for the most slowing/stopping potential, you'd have to lay down and get shot from your foot all the way to around your torso. So you are bullet proof enough, it's just you won't live to tell the tale.

While I love the montages, there are a few things I've noticed. 1: The Entity who determines when The Range Montage is giving me Malfegor flavor text feelings. "A demon cannot be trusted, and a dragon will not be ruled." You never know when it will strike, you can't control it, it just happens on its own timeline. 2: I'm noticing a distinct lack of hard rock or metal music in the montages. I do not wish to incur the wrath of The Entity, not do I hope to control it, but if you could pass the message on, that would be nice. @nig a i learned that a longer Barrel will use more energy of the burned Power. You have more time to acalerate and therefore higher velocity therefore higher penetration
@everythingisinfinite4602
@everythingisinfinite4602 2 жыл бұрын
A longer barrel does not improve the accuracy of the firearm, it's can however increase the velocity by allowing for more powder to burn, however in the case of the 9mm a longer barrel say past 10in can actually decrease velocity because all the powder has been burned and your extra length is now just creating lots of friction. (This is because the 9mm was made for smgs and pistols) Also a longer barrel can sometimes increase the accuracy of the shooter by increasing the distance between the front and back sights giving you more forgiveness when it comes to the alignment of the sights.
@2ARM2
@2ARM2 2 жыл бұрын
@nig a Bing Bong this fact is wrong
@dsrrecordsent
@dsrrecordsent 2 жыл бұрын
Well the truth of the matter is 9mm is most effective in a 16”inch barrel for accuracy(longer sight radius/usually 3 points of contact/higher velocity) for range(Higher velocity with more rifling/twist rate) and lastly power(usually gaining 200fps-250fps over pistols or shorter carbines which equates to much more energy on target/POWER/ Ft/Lbs eg.Glock 19 115gr 1000fps loading turns into 1230fps 357sig/mag territory
