They tell you you’re not gonna achieve to much when you go to a school in a poor neighborhood. If someone has to hire one of two people and one went to school in a rich suburban neighborhood and the other in rural place in chicago , they’re gonna pick the suburban person. So it’s like your set up for failure and if you live in poverty the school system will constantly let you know how low your chances are of actually succeeding. So yes, it is true. Rich people are giving ladders and shortcuts while poor people have to work twice as hard when they have 10x less.

It's somewhat true, obviously not every black experience is the same, some have it worst than others. But a lot of times teachers tell black students, or students they don't think highly of you won't get far. They don't say that exactly, but I've heard it said before. The experience isn't exclusive to black students it's just more common, like one time a teacher even had the students write down their first and last names and said. If your name sounds black, then when an employer reads it their 3 times less likely to employ you, (the teacher was mixed race) she walked over to my sister, she said your last name sounds black but your first name doesn't so you might be fine. Like I said earlier different people different experiences I've heard of instances in which teachers have said to students you won't amount to anything. It's fairly common, black students who seem like trouble are often put in this bracket. It's not a limited experience to black kids, but obviously they're tired of being grouped in like that, I live in England btw, so I have no clue what it's like for black kids in America, I imagine it's probably worse.
