Based on the popular Nickelodeon TV show cartoon for kids and adults, in this new game entry, the evil Plankton has set in motion his most diabolical plot ever to take over the world. The fate of Bikini Bottom has been put in the hands (or small tentacles) of three unsuspecting heroes. Put your platform skills to the test as SpongeBob, Patrick, or Sandy Cheeks, with an array of insane new maneuvers and power-ups at your disposal. I love how outdated this looks. No grass, tons of pop in, very little landscape view. The rehydrated version seems perfect as a remake, but the nostalgia is so much stronger with the original. And that's just not something I get normally. Thanks so much for posting this.

I honestly don't think the game looks dated, even 20 years later. Maybe it's PS2 rendering with textures, but you'd possibly see it more if you've ever seen the XBOX version.

Hello WishingTikal,i have a question.I downloaded Spongebob Squarepants-Battle for bikini bottom on a PS2 emulator.I am stuck at the Rock Bottom level because i don't know how to tiptoe.I tried everything and still isn't working.If you can help me,i would really apreciate it. I played the game ever since I was a toddler and got through it. Move the left stick a little, not too hard, just a little bit. That's how you tiptoe. 👣

Thank you WishingTikal for bringing back good memories. I hope they allow upgrades for abilities like in the Movie tie-in. I want to “dolphin noise” flop and shake the world while doing it. In fact, I hope they include abilities like the Cartwheel and Super throw for Patrick. As for Sandy, new upgradable moves would be very appreciated. And if they include the Robo-Squidward boss fight, I hope they include Squidward as a playable character to play with the theme of playable characters as main bosses...unless the robot is going to be a side boss like The Flying Dutchman, the Jellyfish King, or the Prawn.
