Very great, deep indeed review. I'm looking for a 72 hrs. rucksack and it's been a so complete review, and I've been so many good features in this bag that I've fallen in love with the Whistler. Thank you so much for posting

Have you considered doing other wilderness based videos? A lot of your videos are gear review based, I would, and im sure many others would, like to see some wilderness based videos, such as maybe an overnighter where you do a few projects, use some of the products you review, and say if the product worked as well as it did when you reviewed it, maybe something of that nature, maybe some bushcrafty style videos, just something new, much love to the channel. -Kolt

Thanks for the review. I have recently bought this in black and I think they may have redesigned it. There are no longer the side pockets, and the rain cover has been removed. The main pack now zips open fully to the bottom of the pack and there is a webbing platform and elasticated pocket for your hydration bladder. There is also an additional pocket that runs down the back of the pack between the padding and the main compartment, which is quite thin, maybe room for a laptop or A4 documents????? Does your version have a removable spine under the SAS Plus system? I thought mine was aluminium which I was going to try and bend to shape to my back, but I ended up with a handful of fillings, not sure if this was metal or glass fibre??? Thanks for the video!!!

Mark, thank you very much for sharing your observations on the new model. Unfortunately I don't have the pack any more, and I cannot remember if it had a removable spine. I will contact Wisport and ask if I can test some of their new models. Please subscribe and spread the word Stay dry! Kind regards Claus "Claude" S. Andersen

munch2006uk I hope it’s ok to share a link to Funky Preppers baby bag prep. I think he covers off the main features. If you are looking for a large main compartment, that isn’t split in to sections, then this should be a good contender. I use mine with the Wisport Racoon side pockets for my shopping. The pockets will take 2x2 litre of pop on each side. The main section will take 2 x fridge backs of Cola (10 cans each) and 2 six packs and then smaller items. Hope this gives an idea on size. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKuVeaehorGtfdU 45 ltr Zipperfox might also be worth a look???

munch2006uk I don’t own one at the minute and I believe they do different sizes, so unsure how to advise. As the racoon pocket (9 Litre) will take 2, 2 Litre bottles with room around for softer, more bendable items, I would guess yes? You may even get away with the Sparrow pocket, which is smaller at 4 litres which will take a 2 litre bottle and have room for softer / bendable items to go around. As far as I’m aware the kettles won’t be bigger than that??? Both styles of pocket attach via pals/molle and have close via drawstring covered by a flap with quick release buckle with lots of spare webbing.

Hi, What backpack will you recommend for me ? I often go on one day trips but sometimes on 2 day. I want reliable and comfortable backpack. If I go for 2 days I take hamack and tarp for sleeping. I want frame in the backpack but it isn't necessery. I am considering wisport sparrow 20 II, sparrow 30 II and Whistler II. I am sorry if I did a lot of mistakes I am from poland but we haven't got good bagpack reviewer :)
@Hunt2Eat6 жыл бұрын
Sir, if you go for 2 days I would recommend a 30L pack as the smallest pack, so you are able to carry some water, food and spare clothes also. Please share your experiences Stay dry! Kind regards Claus "Claude" S. Andersen
