i've watched military bands all my life, and it was only when flicking around on youtube that i realised just how badly songs could be played! It really brings it home how skilled these chaps are to play, march and fight.

The tune their playing for the jazz suite while on a semi circle is "Never Had A Friend Like Me" sung by Genie in the Disney film Aladdin.

In Dutch we write "Londen", like the British write Rome in stead of Roma or Lisbon in stead of Lisboa. You can see from the title of the video it is a Dutch uploader. "wisseling wacht' means change of guards.

National Emblem was written by an US Marine Band dictator by the name John Philip Sousa and is played by the Buckingham Place at the changing of the Guard. Thank you, from an American

I know I keep repeating myself but, these are superb bands! Listen to the sound of that Bass Trombone by the Coldstream Guards, just as an example. And the excellent Scots Guards Band. A well-deserved applause.

Lovely quality, well done! Funny, there is a single Welsh Guardsman in the first band!

It's not about BEING Dutch it's about Dutch SPELLING. Londen is the correct spelling in Dutch. Paris in Dutch spelling is Parijs. Why do you Brits write Lisbon, when in correct Portuguese spelling it's Lisboa? Why do you Brits write Rome while in Italy the correct spelling is Roma? Why do you Brits write Venice while in Italian it's Venezia? In Dutch we write Venetie. Why do the French write Londres? Why do Portuguese write Amsterdao? Get over it, you're not the center of the world.

The misspelling of London is unforgivable
@MrBlakeyonthebuses11 жыл бұрын
Being Dutch has nothing to do with it. LONDON is the correct spelling across the world. I see no point in putting a E into it.
