Witch King is Completely Overpowered [most broken evil commander?]

Gandalf’s White Council and High Alert ensure economic draws on Witch King but almost all T3 good commanders have White Council and High Alert at r3 instead of r5. Witch King obliterates any commander that can’t bring him to a draw with White Council/High Alert, so it makes sense he is built to be countered by mostly only other T3 commanders. Mine has almost maxed Sustain and Madness immunity on his pipe and helmet respectively to deal with most armies plus Sauron (Inflicts Madness) and White Council/High Alert for Witch King.

Haldir also has some stun ability, can't remember how skill was frazed but it has poison giving dmg too. So do hard counter with those or Gandalf and Eowyn. She might have little more umph to it.

BTW, against Witch king you need to use Gandalf who has burn protection in one of he's skills. And I had some success with Gandalf and he had gear that gave poison too. I got REKT still, but I felt it did better than my Haldir. Maybe Grey and Haldir together, or Legolas as second.

On the evil side, Mouth of Sauron is a hard counter. Mouth of Sauron has a -75% damage debuff to allies and enemies for the first 2 rounds.

yep mouth of sauron is great commander. only one draw back is that -75% isnt effect commander dmg = any dmg dealer commander win agaisnt him easily.

I have fought against respect 3 wk before and my best tips are either bring commanders with stun that can stun in early rounds or bring a very high damage dealer commander with tanky units to survive long enough so your commander can do the damage. Lurtz/Legolas are the best ones i know for this purpose.

I have a witch king which I have a equipment that has stun immunity. So no one can stun my witch king. Plus I can stun the enemy's commander and reduce its damage. Plus I have another equipment that has right now a 40% chance of avoiding the first damage in battle. And have the burn poison ect... and stun 2 enemy's army's my witch king is unstoppable. And have the 30% damage to all evil races and the 75% chance of attacking twice.

If you max Haldir's guide skill, it will give you stun immunity. (Solves the stun issue) You also need to fix your troop set up if you go with Haldir. If you use Lindon T4 then you don't skill up your % chance of double attack. If you do then use dwarf ranged along with the bow knights. Also if you went beast build on Haldir , it would be more in your favor (winning the fight). Just things I noticed watching your video(s). I play Lindon on my server with respect level 8 Haldir but that's all I noticed. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! I ALWAYS ENJOY YOUR VIDEOS.

My WK with all 4 star gear remains undefeated in my servers duel arena. That includes: King of Men, King of Dead, Gil Galad, both Gandalfs, Eowyn and Theoden (at same time), two gandalf the greys (at same time) etc. in normal battle, my current record is 11 kills with 1 attack

Thats a R1 witch king, when he is R3 he does 30% more burn dmg and has a stun on round 1 lol

Any commander with High Alert tends to do well against him. Mostly t3s have it though (Gil, Galad, Gand, Thrand). Gandalf the Grey scales much more poorly than The White, but since yours had High Alert he did ok against the Witch King.

We got one Mordor guy on sv 118 with r5 witch king and maxed might purple equipment . He wipes out 3-4 armies in one swing

Aragon II R5 - "Sun and Moon Splendour skill" to gain Stun immunity and take less normal attacks for anti melee build will be perfect for you to deal with Witch king 👊

Not really, my witch king have respect 4 and when level 50 I can stun the enemy commander plus reduce its damage by 30%. I got the stun 2 enemy's targets which in this case I can't. But I have a equipment that avoids the first damage in battle. Plus I got equipment that has stun immunity. And obviously I got the 30% damage boost to all evil races. And attacking twice. And gain initiative. So againt me its ggs for everyone. I think the only one that can do something is Gandalf and that's a maybe because I have stub immunity so yeah good luck

I see people saying Gandalf counters witch king but that’s if u have him rep5, if u don’t he does decently well but still loses and witch king can still take loads of armies, while witch king is good low rep as gandalf but his complete build is rep3, and in all low rep he’s consistently better than gandalfs

Gandlaf don't only counter witch king it's a possibility, gandalf wins all the fights, since the start i've never win of do a even fight vs a Gandalf. And rember that witch king a t3 commander so it's normal that he don't have Perfects counters, and for the optimal way you need him r3 wich is difficult to go.

I also want to say for a streamer and content creator. How you dn't also have t3's to face him is a little weird. And you have to remember. If his best commander is witch king. Just kill it and that's all you need to do. It's like the evil faction facing my Theoden (i'm rohan) they have to kill him b/c he can take out like 10 armies before I reinforce him.

This game is not for Free to Play, is not also for guys who are not willing to play much. You pay you get better commanders better gear. The rest are the same for everyone. But when someone can get a monster early with paying and a ton of gear, then there is no reason playing.

Yeah the Witch King is the strongest evil commander at the moment. Gandalf usually puts a stop to his shenanigans which is good for you guys. Something I feel is unfortunate is that it feels like every other evil commander underperforms compared to the good side commanders...

Hard counter is Gilgalad. On our server one guys rep3 witchking was decimating everyone up until a gilgalad managed to hold his own at rep0. The battle took 3 rounds and gilgalad came out in top in the end. Not exactly a hardcounter but there is nothing else that has been able to stop him. Funny thing is the undying is able to beat gilgalad when the witchking can't.

Hey Chisgule, there is a content creator called Middle ‘Aged Gaming’ which he recently uploaded a video explaining the best counter for the witch king and a very effective way of countering Gothmog with mumakills, if the witch king is a big trouble to you, you should check out that video, but basically it consist on using Aragorn II respect level 5 ability. 👍

If they need to nerf the ONE op evil commander, they need to nerf the 6+ op good commanders. And no…Lurtz/Mumak is NOT op. 1) Mumaks are hard to get. 2) they cost 450k gold 3) it takes TWO DAYS to recruit them. So yes…it should take 8 armies to defeat

there's probably no army to single handedly beat the witch king 1v1 if he is maxed out and a proper witch king build. Although.. you can definitely beat him. You need an army to survive long enough to take his troops down and then beat him with another commander. He is t3 and costs a lot of money to properly outfit. Gandalf the grey is a lot less money and easier to get. So I recomend send in Gandalf then kill his witch king with another army. Or you can use a commander to dwindle his armies with high physical then kill him off with whatever you want. Make another video when you face a respect 10 witch king with 4 maxed out gold pieces of gear then tell me why you thought a respect 1 was OP.

There is a price of armor that will give you a lot of might and defense. Sometimes the perk it has is reducing fire damage which can go up go 60%. With dwalin r5 ability it will be 110% fire damage reduction. 😁😁

The Grey is the most overrated commander on the good side. He is useful in the early to mid game because of his healing and dmg reduction, but he scales horribly with gear and levels since healing never increases when using more command units.

Lurtz is a hard counter to him, The Grey is very overrated and scales poorly with levels and gear, only strong in the early and mid game, bad at lvl 50 pvp.
