Thank you for keeping the “added soundtracks” out of this - Maya intended the majority of her works to be silent.

Also... FYI for those in English: "The film is inspired by an experience that really happened to Maya Deren in 1939, when she broke off her collaboration with William Seabrock as an editorial assistant. Apparently Seabrock involved her in his occult experiments. Wicht's cradle means "the cradle of witches". It is inspired by the belief that witches learn to fly after spending a whole night tied naked to a particular rocking chair. A few years later Maya re-elaborates that experience together with Duchamp, her friend of those years. The work was never completed."

Interesting film yet I do not understand it. The actress in this film Pajorita Mata is beautiful woman. I wonder where is the actress from? Does anyone know where the actress Pajorita Mata is from?

She's either really old now or dead. Just chill.

Can anyone make out the letters/words surrounding the pentagram on her forehead? I tried to take a screen-shot and zoom in on it, but couldn't make it out :( the resolution was too low and type too fuzzy. It looks like its written backwards or shot towards a mirror? I can make out what appears to be: "...END IS..." and I see what looks like a question mark "?" ... but I can't be certain. Anyone have any thoughts?

I think it says "the beginning is the end is..." and then it loops..."the end is the beginning is..." -right?
