There's also almost no info on the author available online, but something I did notice was that her publishing house (Microcosm) uses the same biography for both Anastasia Greywolf on their website and Aurora Kane (on her Goodreads page), so my guess is she's writing under a new name now. It's pretty shady, and there are so many awesome witchcraft books out there so I'll avoid this one. Thanks for the review!

It definitely shady like it’s fine to have pen names but this was pretty sketchy. Plus with it being so bad, I question everyone involved with it. Definitely best to stick to other authors who don’t do this 😞

One of my sisters left this book behind after moving out. I am a beginner witch and no one was claiming it so I did because I figured I'd need to read a lot and I wouldn't have to pay for it. Thank you for this post because I haven't read it yet and now I won't.

It’s pretty rare to not have anything good to say about a book but this one needs to be removed from shelves. I don’t know how this ever got approved like what were the editor and publisher thinking, let alone the author 🤮

i got it at a yard sale for 50 cents. I think Witches are cool without the whole Cursing and summoning. i didn't hard read it but i only skimmed it. im not trying to curse or summon and i got somewhat creeped by it. this review killed the creepiness. I'm not going to play around with this book. it went from something maybe evil to now it's just a bad book.

KZbin within the last few months loosened up on there cussing rule, so you should be fine. For some reason I have been feeling like I need to burn books,I'm not quite sure why, it seems unamerican to me but this book seems like it needs to be in the pile. In your rant on your patreon in video format or is it typed out? If its video I'll try and be a patron so I can watch it. If it is typed I'll probably still try. The possible calling on demons isn't the worst thing but there are things you probably ned to learn before working with them. I would like to still skim through this book, without spending money, so I can make my own conclusion but it'll probably be a negative review.

Video 🥰 most extended discussions are written follow alongs as I write out my chaotic thoughts as I go (can’t always record but want to capture the thoughts somehow). There’s always two videos a month for the second lowest tier (lowest only has a shout out since people wanted that option), podcast monthly, and then weekly videos for the highest tier. I’d check your local library and see if they have a copy. Definitely don’t recommend getting a copy of this awful book 🤮

Aw man. I just finished it before i saw this video. Im a newbie but it still creeped me out when it said that we need to kill animals, especially bats (which are endangered if ik corectly). This is the only book that promoted violence and the type of recypes that appear in old cartoons. Thank you for pointing the "entertainment purposes only".

😢What is scary is the fact that if someone has a curious and reckless nature, they might just be pushed to read it now with this review. (New subscriber.....Just a realist too 😅)... They will think, "I to want form their my own opinion, (Reverse psycholgy and other vunerabilities), I was lucky to grow out of that dangerous mindset recently. I realized I stopped my practice out of fear.

I’ve seen this book on sale so many times on Amazon, so glad I never purchased!! Worst books I’ve read were Moonology and Light is the New Black, probably more new age than witchy but for someone that’s been exploring for a couple years now even I could tell they were rubbish.

He’s a great starting point! Deborah Blake is also a good one as well. Both cover beginner and intermediate topics and have a pretty large collection of works. To really kick start though, his temple series is so far the absolute best to really get a good foundation

It’s likely not and seems to be more so Hollywood/Christian portrayal of Witchcraft. If it was folk magic, it’s so poorly portrayed that it’s still highly offensive to practically every culture (and most folk magic has their own names and not labeled under Witchcraft)

It was gifted to me by a nonpratictioner when i was new to the craft. I red it and even with very little background knowledge i could tell this book was a croc of 💩. Im glad other people feel the same. I hope no one is trying to work this magic.

The book ‘Wiccapedia’ by Shawn Robbins is bad too. It has spells that call on non-existent goddesses from video games. It’s ridiculous.

Yea. I've seen it and it's bad. Like I've found a spell in the witchcraft subreddit someone put up that calls on the deities of Luck from various campaigns of Dungeons and Dragons in a 'Dice Blessing Spell'... But from an outsider, the way they did that is kinda cute and fun sounding. Like "I want to incorporate this aspect of a game I enjoy playing into a spell to help me roll better so I enjoy playing the game more." it's cute. not some weird "oh yea, this is a thing now" that it does.

Maaaaaannnnn. Thank you for this review. It's really frustrating that a publication house would write that on the cover, let alone produce this garbage. It's also really frustrating this author is going by two names, her other being Aurora Kane. She is an author of Moon Magic, Herbal Magic, House Magic etc. I'm extra pissed because I bought the 3 books I listed above and now knowing more about the author and publication house I feel like I need to dispose of them due to ethics. This is all sorts of shady and sketch. ARGH! Seriously thank you for this honest review tho ❣
